Re: Pioneer drives: Question regarding form factor and cross-flashing
The 5.25 pioneer are the best you can get for UHD. For LG/Asus it's swapped the 5.25 is junk and you should only get the slims. They are slightly less reliable and for the slot load one much harder to do maintenance. Like cleaning the laser. Cross flashing has no disadvantages for ripping but can me...

What is your take on the Pioneer BDR-212UHBK ULTRA HD Blu-ray drive? Do you carry those and do you know if they are truly Ultra HD compatible? No I don't carry it but it's an ok drive nothing bad about it you just need to find it with old fw. It's been replaced by the 213 and S13 series the s13 ser...

Re: LOADS of A/V sync issues
I've been ripping my whole blu ray and 4k collection over the past few weeks. I'm using my desktop and my laptop simultaneously using two identical Pioneer BDR-UD04s. I noticed though that my desktop seems to rip the disks effortlessly while my laptop seems to have a log that is constantly riddled ...

Re: ASUS SBW-06D2X-U
Recently I discovered that BD drives could become friendly with UHD discs. I, also, have an ASUS SBW-06D2X-U and I would appreciate any guidance as to how I can update it. However, I do not know if there are limitations as a Mac user(?) Drive Information Manufacturer: ASUS Product: SBW-06D2X-U Revi...

Re: Changing drive serial number through firmware?
I guess I am going to have to figure out some solution without changing the serial number. Setup time for multiple instances definitely takes longer, but once you know what drive is what, then it is a bit easier. Thanks again. just put the last 4 of the sn on the drive with a label maker or somethi...

Re: Changing drive serial number through firmware?
i think you emailed me about this like i said yes it can be done but only to lg/asus drives and you would need to use dosflash. but this has other side effects like this: https://forum.redfox.bz/threads/right-fw-for-bu40n.88018/page-3#post-623812 it seems to have no negative effects but still i woul...

Re: Good cost efficient start to Blu Ray rip
Some people around here don’t like them, but you can get the LG WH14NS40 for around that price, and they’re relatively easy to flash yourself. That’s what I’ve been using, and it has ripped every disc in my collection (4K, Blu-ray, and DVD) just fine. How do I install it on my computer or Jerry rig...

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
Dear all, I am new to this forum and I hope I am posting in the correct thread. I have recently started ripping my DVD and Blu Rays which is working just fine with my recently purchased Pioneer Drive. Although I do not yet own 4k Blu Rays I am interested to know whether my drive qualifies for flash...
