Re: Forced Subtitles
There are several ways forced subtitles can be implemented on a BD. While they work perfectly for full disc playback on a Bd player or BD playback software not all variants can be detected by MakeMKV. There is really nothing you can do about it. Use the link I provided to see which episodes and movi...

Re: Forced Subtitles
It's like talking to a brick wall. "The track is marked as forced in MakeMKV, why isn't it marked as forced in the output?" "If it's not marked as forced MakeMKV won't know it's forced." "But it is marked as forced." "Most discs don't mark tracks as forced, so Mak...

Re: Forced Subtitles
They do work if they are marked as auch. Sadly, this is not always the case. Therefore, check with this website before ripping:

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
They agreed on a solution on how to add dv (and other) data to the mkv standard! Mike confirmed he would follow those :D Now we just need to get exoplayer to implement it as mentioned in the mkv standard! One step closer to dv in mkv! Any idea if we're going to have to re-rip again? I spent the day...

Re: Dolby Vision and 1.15.1
Sorry if this a dumb question Yesterday I ripped 2 DV UHDs using the least MakeMKV version 1. Godzilla KOTM - this has both DV and HDR10+. Mediainfo shows MKV file containing HDR10+ but no DV. 2. Aquaman - this is DV only. Mediainfo shows HDR10. Is this due to Mediainfo not capable of recognising D...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
No, it's still a dual layer stream. It's showing up in MKVToolNix with a different name than the original m2ts's second stream, but it's otherwise the same as far as I can tell. I tried using MKVToolNix to remux the two video streams from the MP4 into an MKV with the original TrueHD/Atmos track, wh...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
To my understanding its no problem at all to have the DV dual layer inside an mkv. I did this this mkvtoolnix, without error. The resulting mkv had two video streams. The problem is that there is no player which can play thise back with DV. //edit: Okay, now I understand what the muxer is doing. So ...

Re: Profiles don't work anymore since v1.14.0
But that is exactly what I did. Yet, Makemkv does not use the "default selection rule" from my profile, although it has automatically selected my profile.

Re: Profiles don't work anymore since v1.14.0
However, what about the mkv specific settings stored in the profile: <mkvSettings ignoreForcedSubtitlesFlag="false" useISO639Type2T="false" setFirstAudioTrackAsDefault="true" setFirstSubtitleTrackAsDefault="true" setFirstForcedSubtitleTrackAsDefault="fal...

Re: Profiles don't work anymore since v1.14.0
I experience the same behavior as OP. I'm using a Docker (jlesage/makemkv) on my Qnap NAS with v1.14.0 at the moment. Before v.1.14.0 everything was as usual. Where did you store your profiles? If your CHANGED profiles were kept in your MakeMKV data directory, they should be unchanged and still usef...

Re: Profile: -sel: does no longer work
Just a guess, but judging by the stray " in each fail msg, I'd try removing the double-quotes surrounding the full string & see how that works. Worth a shot. Sorry for late reply. Weirdly, that did the trick! Thanks! What is the COMPLETE XML container you're editing? In the default profile...

Profile: -sel: does no longer work
I just installed the latest version 1.12.2 on my Qnap ubuntu VM and even when using the default profile I'm getting the following error when opening a BD: Profile parsing error: Invalid token '"-sel:all' Profile parsing error: Invalid token '-sel:special"' It seems that '-sel' is no longer...
