It will not even let me download makemkv

I have tried several times to download it directly from the website and after firefox downloads i, I always get this error message.

Download Error
C:\Users\DaDa\Downloads\Setup_MakeMKV_v1.8.1.exe could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder.

Change the folder properties and try again, or try saving in a different location.

It is the same exact error on my laptop and my desktop. I have tried using take ownership, and I am not even sure I am doing that correctly, because that does not even seem to work. Any Ideas!?

Good chance your antivirus software is being a problem. There was a report within the last week that one of the antivirus programs was giving a false positive on the MakeMKV executable.

You can try changing the file extension when you tell Firefox where to save the file, something like ".dat" instead of ".exe". If it then lets you save it, you have found your culprit.
