all subtitles are the same language

Post by Sabine »

Hi,

just stumbled over a dvd where ripping produces 7x the same subtitle. The subtitle ripped is the first on the disc and it's then inserted for the other 6 languages, too.

I tested SubRip on the subs and this tool does a perfect job on them so it has to be a problem of MakeMKV, I suppose.

Hi Sabine,

It's very strange, we really shocked to hear that. Could you please send ifo files from that disc to mike.chen82@googlemail.com? Thank you!

I use v1.3 and have the same problem.
If i choose only one subtitle it's allways the first one :/

Any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem.
I'm ripping from a .iso file with Virtual Clonedrive, and it is always the first subtitle that is actually ripped.

We'll try to investigate. We haven't seen this error before.

This issue seems to be resolved from v1.4.0. :)
Will do some more testing.

Thanks.

This problem still exists in 1.4.1 beta for all the futurama disks

Can you please share ifo files for the disc that has this problem? Just copy all IFO files from the disc, compress with any archiver and either attach here or PM.

IFOs attached. This also happens to be the same disk that MakeMKV fails to extract 4 of the 5 episodes on it (as referenced at http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?t=189)

The first episode on the disk appears to have been extracted correctly, with all the subtitles (in 1.4.1 it only extracted english subtitles). However, the remaining 4 episodes only extract the intro sequence for the episode producing mkvs about 30K each and 30 seconds long (the first episode is about 1.1G and 22 minutes).

I should mention that the results are the same if MakeMKV is pointed directly at the disk or at the DVDFAB5HD extracted directory.
