makemkv mystery

Post by zombo »

Hey guys, sorry for the noobish question. I know that its been addressed various times in past threads but ive done some searching in past threads and so far cannot find one that specifically deals with my problem.
My question is, My OS is Windows (8.1) and my media player is VLC (2.2.6) and I am using MakeMKV (1.10.6).
Once I have decrypted my aacs protected Blu-ray disc with MakeMKV, how do I play it with VLC? Thank you all

Media->Open Folder, point to the BDMV folder of your backup. Click "Select folder". This will play the primary track. If you open the folder where index.bdmv is, VLC will let you access pretty much everything on the disk, but that is usually an overwhelming array of things. And it might not "properly" play the subtitles and audio tracks.

It's actually easier if you have MakeMKV write the BD to MKV files, because you can chose more options.
