Files in 576i not 1080p

Post by drandy »

Hi,

I am new to all this and just setting up a home cinema using a Plex media server

When I save the maker Kev file to the Plex server it says they are in 576i not 1080p.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

What have you ripped with MakeMKV? A DVD has 576i (maximal), only Blu-rays have a maximum resolution of 1080p or other lower resolution formats.
Good Luck :)

DVD is "480i", or "576i" if it is a PAL DVD. Through use of anamorphic (non-square pixels), it can achieve a wider aspect ratio, but the maximum resolution is 720 wide.
