Hi.

Please someone with Asus firmware 3.01 could share a dump of the firmware ?

These are the steps.

You need Devilscraw flasher, which can be found here :

https://github.com/devilsclaw/flasher/releases

Then, open an elevated command prompt and type :

flasher -D (to display drive and drive ID)

and then

flasher -d [drive id] -l firmware.bin 6 00000000 00200000

and it should dump the current (3.0.1) firmware of your device.

Thanks in advance. :)

@Pheran

I will never thank you enough.

Thanks mate, it's the best gift after Christmas.

It increased the ripping speed (max 35 MB/s instead of 22.5) of UHD bluray discs !!!

Does anyone know whether the BW-16D1HT-PRO (alternatively listed as BW-16D1HT PRO) model is equivalent in its UHD reading ability and firmware?

It appears to be a model made for the Australasia regions but can't find any info regarding the UHD aspect since all references in the UHD-related threads refer to the non-Pro model available elsewhere. Only reference I could vaguely source was one user who believes it's a re-badged LG BH16NS40.

I'm using a version modified by myself under pure dos and a USB stick,

but you can flash this firmware also under Windows using a LG unlocked flasher
and modify the .bin firmware (made with devilscraw flasher) with an hex editor.

Now I'm out for holidays, but I can make you a correct windows flasher together
with the 3.01 bin firmware suitable for any device having the MT1939 (MediaTek)
chipset (like almost LG and Asus recent bluray drives).

It would be nice of you if you could do it to me.
I do not know how to use this software.
Thanks.

I'd like to get that as well, if possible. Thanks!

Nice. Do you happen to have a 3.00 bin file that could be flashed with that modified flasher, as well? Thanks!
