Has anyone tried ripping this movie??? I am one my third one and I still get read errors.......I have the Asus UHD- friendly drive( BW-16D1HT), which this is the first time I've had this much difficulty ripping a title......On each disk(including this one), it rips fine until it gets to about 24,967MB......It then just hangs there, the MB count remains the same, then the read errors appear.....This third one stops at 24,623MB.......The blu-ray version just powered through on the same drive.....
Could it be a bad batch of discs?

If anyone has successfully ripped this title, let me know..........Errors:Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00016.m2ts' at offset '31251363840',Error 'OS error - STATUS_DEVICE_DATA_ERROR' occurred while reading '\Device\CdRom0' at offset '31251363840',

all the errors on the disc involves /BDMV/STREAM/00016.m2ts.....I can't even back it up because this same file causes the drive to stop and throw read errors........

hopefully there is a solution to this issue.......Thanks in advance..........

That seems like a problem with the disc, replace the disc.

thanks for the responses, I did manage to rip this(it is the US version).......It ripped right along, approx. 31 MB/sec, then hit the "bad spot" mentioned above......speed then dropped to less than 1 MB/sec, but the count kept going up, it didn't stop like before......after about 20 seconds, the read speed went to 8.9 MB/sec and stayed there for the rest of the rip.....This was the first time I had this much difficulty with a disc.......anyway, all's well that ends well.......

Did you try cleaning the disc? I always clean my discs before ripping them even if they are brand new. Use a solution of 50/50 water and rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle. Spray a clean microfiber cloth with the solution and clean the disc. This has solved 99% of all my ripping problems. Good Luck

rivey, yes, I know the routine about cleaning.......I cleaned all three like mad, still got the errors....I clean all my discs before I rip also........that is why these discs puzzled me when they all stopped at around the same point on each disc.......That said, do you use a circular motion when cleaning, or a radial motion(cleaning from the center hole to the edge? I clean with a radial motion.....

I normally use a circular motion since the disc is turning that way in the machine so I would assume that is how the disc is recorded.

Thanks for the response, yeah, I was told long ago, during the CD, HD-DVD and Bluray era to clean radially.......Ok, I'll see if the circular motion fares any better, thanks......

Center to edge, never circular.

Hmmm.... that seems like it would be a good link to have in the "if you experience errors" topic...

Mind replying to https://makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=15055 with it, please?
