So, a friend of mine told me that there was a dude that worked for makemkv i could send the encryption key to to add support for that movie to rip with libredrive, who would that be? Currently using the unraid container. Ripped most older uhd's from the mcu with a dual layer BR drive flashed with libredrive, but engame didn't work.

Edit: Checked other posts, and it will ask for a AACS .tgz dump file, where would i find that with unraid, and move it over to my pc? Just started with unraid a week ago, and not accustomed to linux, so would need a walkthrough there, so i can send it to makemkv's mail.

This was the error i got

Tgz is not going to help with that you have a one of these things
Dirty disc clean it even if it looks clean
Bad disc replace it
Dirty laser clean it by taking drive apart not a cleaning disc
Bad drive replace it with a better one BU40N or pioneer.

Clean disk as it was unused before
So a clean never used disk can be bad?
Laser could read fine from black panther, but not infinity wars nor endgame.

what errors would i get if it was a encryption/DRM issue?

Could be bad. I got Ready Player One new. Looked fine, but had errors in the disc. Had to take it back and get an exchange.

even new disc need to be cleaned sometimes

yes a laser gets dirty over time

it would say volume key unknown if it was a key error or DRM

Recommendations for Cleaning New and used 4k Discs.

The first thing to remember is that just because a disc can be played successfully in a standalone disc player, it does NOT mean that it can be ripped. Standalone disc players will skip over problematic areas on a disc while MakeMKV needs all information on the
disc/track to create a lossless MKV file.

If you experience read errors and discs that will not read properly, here are some
recommendations:

1. Gently clean the disc with a soft cloth. Mild non-abrasive soap and water can also be tried. New discs often have a hazy coating that can prevent ripping, and used discs can have dirt and fingerprints.

I use “Waka Premium Microfiber Cloths”
which I find to be excellent. I bought these on Amazon. Please find the link below:

https://tinyurl.com/m7x5kz58

2. Replace the disc. Just because a disc “looks” perfect doesn’t mean that it is perfect.

Mastering and manufacturing errors do occur and these will prevent successful rips.

Please note that it is not uncommon for you to need to replace a disc more than
once; discs are produced in large batches so if a mastering error is laid down on one disc, it makes sense that it could be there on all discs from that batch.

Also, just one small scratch on a 4K disc can produce read errors and in turn the disc does not backup properly. I have bought discs myself from Amazon which looked perfect but received faulty. When I reordered the next disc then worked., this has happen more
than once.

3. If you get read errors on a disc Increase the setting “read retry count” from setting 5
to 10

4. Try a different or new drive. No two drives are exactly alike so where one may fail to rip, another has no problems. There will always be 4K discs that one drive will read and another will not. This is why customers sometimes will buy for example a Hitachi BU40N or a Pioneer drive such as BDR-S12UHT, BDR-XS07TUHD or
BDR-UD04

Took me three copies of (pre order) Endgame before I found one that would rip clean. Pre ordered Black Panther literally had a pin hole in it. I wish the quality of the discs matched the quality of the movies 🙂
