Issues flashing WP50NB40

Post by sweepy_time »

What I did:

Downloaded this https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HRnbXi ... sp=sharing
Downloaded this viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22896
Start MakeMKV (I did this to make the drive show up in the GUI flash program)
Start the Gui flash SDF program and check “include boot loader”
Select the bluray drive, select the firmware in the “all you need” pack in “LG slim BP50NB40-NB50”, Write firmware, hit START, wait for it to finish
Select the RECOVERY option and in the pop up, select the same firmware that I just flashed.
Select the “LG slim USB BP60NB10” firmware in the normal dropdown
Click START

Doesn't seem to be doing anything. The drive does not change in the dropdown it still says D: HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_BP50NB40_1.03_212005070917_SIM22217N4135

No matter what I do. Ive flashed it about 5 times already. Here's my Drive info from Makemkv

Drive Information
OS device name: D:
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE BP50NB40
Revision: 1.03
Serial number: SIM22217N4135
Firmware date: 2120-05-07 09:17
Bus encryption flags: 17
Highest AACS version: 81

LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: MT1959
Firmware type: Patched (microcode access re-enabled)
Firmware version: 1.03
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes

No disc inserted

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

It appears you have completed the first step. You must not be doing the recovery process correctly. Watch and follow the recovery process in the gif of the SDFtool flasher thread. I also suggest you use BU40N 1.00 firmware and not the BP60NB10 firmware.
Cheers :D
