What TV sets and BluRay players support PGS subtitles?

Post by dkovba »

I have made MKV from BluRay disk using MakeMKV tool. But no one TV set or BluRay player support it. What TV sets and BluRay players support PGS subtitles? Will OCR for PGS subtitles be added to the MakeMKV? (I can pay for developing of that.)

Hopefully not cause there's already enough tools to do that, like Subbextractor that also works on PGS. So far I've only seen TVs do SRT subs.

Not counting as TVs or BD players, the Micca EP600 (and probably other modes) and Uebo M200/400 series media players, with recent firmware, can play PGS subtitles in MKV files. Western Digital sells some units that work with PGS subtitles in MKV, so long as they're compressed.
