DTS-HD MA to FLAC 5.1 Failure

Post by onanboy »

Total noob here so forgive me.

I am trying to convert a DTS-HD MA track to 5.1 FLACs.

I have MakeMKV version 1.9.0

I have installed dtsdecoderdll.dll version 1.1.0.8 and pointed MakeMKV to the right folder.

My OS is Win7 x64.

I get the following failure:

Code: Select all

External DLL 'dtsdecoderdll.dll' from location 'C:/Users/Gonzo/Desktop/Video/eac3to/dtsdecoderdll.dll' is unknown - either too old, too new or being tampered with
DEBUG: Code 0 at /0F8G?PRja~P+dQKBcFI63:213131065

DEBUG: Code 0 at [h6%WpV^_oY?MIKc+F:29400669
Failed to save title 0 to file
Any idea what I am doing wrong?

I did a search but noting seemed to jump out at me as to what I screwed up.

The Masked Onion solved my problem (easily).

After I upgraded my DLL version to v1.1.0.9 things went very well.

Thank you MO!

Though to be honest I was hoping that what I was doing was stripping a DTS-HD MA track to audio only FLAC 5.1 tracks. I see that is not so. I will have to add another step to get the 5.1 FLACS.

Okay.

The disc is the Gentle Giant - The Power and The Glory bluray. The album was recently remixed by Steve Wilson and a 5.1 version was done.

I have a Netgear NEOTV550 which will play 96/24 5.1 flacs so I wanted to rip the disc to my HDD and stream it to the player with a NFS server. I do this with most of my 5.1 stuff.

Anyway, I usually use AudioMuxer to do this but it didn't show exclusive LPCM 5.1 tracks like most discs do, only 5.1 DTS-HD MA track. So I did the conversion via MakeMKV to an mkv with 5.1 FLACS and then ripped and separated the individual tracks with AudioMuxer.

Works great!
