I'm ripping these DVDs using Makemkv but on my two Asus drives it's indicating that the region setting on the discs don't match the region settings of the drives. Anyone know why this is? I'm surprised I'm getting the notification on two different Asus drives that are several years apart in model numbers.

Without knowing the origin of the disks, it is difficult to say. I have had false reports of "out of region" disks, but MakeMKV always managed to rip them. And disks that actually WERE from another region work just fine in most drives.
