Correct title not being listed, for example Hostiles DVD

Hello,

I've used MakeMkv to make hundreds of DVD MKVs, from my Library, but the last few months I've come across a number of DVDs, that the correct Title isn't offered in the MakeMkv Title list.

For example, if I play Hostiles on VLC player, it tells me that the title being played is title 37, but the title list offered in MakeMkv only goes up to Title 32.

Has anyone else run across this issue?

Thanks in advance

I guess I'm either asking the wrong question, or MakeMkv always, with every disk, lists the correct title for everyone else???

Am I posting in the wrong place?

I've searched and I don't see where this has been covered anywhere.

MakeMKV's selection of obfuscated titles on DVDs is not that good, especially compared to Bluray.

The problem is that MakeMKV numbers titles differently than VLC, unless you set the minimum length of titles to zero. MakeMKV counts only those over the minimum, while VLC counts everything.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
I appreciate the response!

You will not likely see an easy answer to this. Lionsgate/Summit releases almost always have bad sector protection and lots of extra playlists. Not sure if there's a way to submit specific files to Mike for dvds, I have had to use other means in the past to get such dvds to work.

What "other means" would that be?
