I have made quite a number of bluray mkv files with no problems. But I just ripped "Dunkirk" and saw the intermittent color bands of noise that appear throughout the video except in the very beginning. I thought it was just a poor rip, but then I played Hostile, and a number of other recently released bluray disks and I'm getting the same problem. It's just like when they introduced some overlay on VHS videos so that copies would have this recurrent interference that made the picture get all distorted.

It does not effect other videos from 2017 that are in bluray format such as Das Boot, Dr Zhivago, A Dog's Purpose, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Nebraska, Murder on the Orient Express, !3 Hours and many others.

Does anyone know if this is a new anti-piracy scheme that will be on all the newly produced blurays?
