Re: Custom firmware pack with LibreDrive patches

When I open a disc MakeMKV says that Libredrive mode would be supported with patched firmware. I'm sure that this is true given that it's just a software limitation preventing me from opening these discs in Libredrive mode. I am convinced that it has something to do with the MK patched firmware not...

Red 2 4k doesnt even get recognized that it's in the drive by the program. And various others fail to RIP ha...

Re: BluRay ripping fails since installing v1.14.3

DO NOT UPDATE THE DRIVE FIRMWARE TO THE LATEST. I HAVE THE SAME DRIVE. THE COMPANY I BOUGHT IT FROM LOCKED THE DRIVE AT THE LAST FIRMWARE VERSION THAT SUPPORTED "UHD FRIENDLY" MODE....OR LIBRE DRIVE MODE WHICH IS 3.0!! YOUR DRIVE WILL NO LONGER WORK UNLESS YOU ARE ABLE TO ROLL BACK THE FIRMWARE TO ...

Re: BluRay ripping fails since installing v1.14.3

I have been using MakeMKV with no issues for a long time. I ripped several discs during the last week (including one the night before). This morning I installed v1.14.3 and since I have not been able to rip any disc. Here is an example output: Backing up disc into folder "J:/_rips/Limitless/BD" Usi...

Re: *UPDATED* 4K UHD DV backup playback

I can see that this plays Dolby Vision without a hiccup. But can it play Dolby Atmos via .MKV container? Or that's only possible Blu Ray ISO/BD-R Folder structure? First Page Second Post!!! I must have missed that. Sorry but last question do you know if this plays DVD-Audio ISOs (watermarked)? I kn...

Re: Firmware downgrade using official (patched) flasher, the "Ultra hax0r guide"

LG BU40N recently purchased from Amazon works now. Thanks so much. I can finally rip and encode my 4k disc collection! Actually just started Valerian encoding in h265. Suddenly my 8 core Ryzen no longer feels adequate. Links to what I purchased. Drive: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...

SACD Iso's Work Perfectly Fine! Ohh, so you have already tested this - NICE! Does it also offer DSD output via HDMI? anything in particular you want me to Test? Featurewise no, but if this Oppo-clone does support remote telnet connections we could find out what Linux kernel runs on and what Mediate...

Re: *UPDATED* 4K UHD DV backup playback

Before Mr. bd-com built/cloned devices, he modified firmwares and before there was a M9702, boxes like the M9700 & M28 were shipped over the oceans. The mainboard of the M9700 looks like it was "borrowed" from the Philips BDP9700 (Mediatek MT8580 main SoC & Marvell 88DE2755 QDEO video postprocessor...
