KODI Chapter Skip Function with MKV's Broken

is anyone else having a issue with MKV's in KODI with chapters not skipping? i don't know if it's a KODI issue or a MakeMKV issue?

i use a OSMC Vero4K+, and the dev told me it was because "remuxes do not use align chapters with key frames."

is this something mike can fix or is this a KODI Issue?

Re: Playback device for 4kUHD rips plus ATMOS & Subtitles

Hi guys needed some help. Im looking for a device that will play all my 4kUHD rips from connect USB Drive and passthrough the Atmos soundtrack UHD/DOLBY VISION etc and also read the subtitle tracks. To my amazement the only device that plays back perfectly is my low end LG 4k tv using its ios. Its ...

Re: Can't rip Anna UHD: "Fatal program error occurred"

I'm trying to rip a Redbox copy of Anna in UHD, using a Libre-flashed drive that has been working great for over a month with all 4K discs, but this disc is basically crashing MakeMKV. Here's a screenshot of what I'm seeing (I had to make the URL below "code" so the forum software wouldn't truncate...

Re: Ripping Dolby Atmos into MKV

Been a long time since i used it It's changed quite a bit. And if you're not compressing anything, it's free to use. So, for example, the process I outlined above where you rip to backup folder with MakeMKV and then open the backup folder with CloneBD, if you're just outputting an uncompressed MKV,...

Re: Ripping Dolby Atmos into MKV

I don't understand what this means. CloneBD only accepts a BD or UHD as input, not an MKV. Didnt know that. The issue with clonebd is you can not select just the forced subs within the subtitle track Uhhh, what? That was one of the features I pushed on til they added it. It most definitely can scan...

Has anyone tried running a problematic MKV through CloneBD? To see if the problem is corrected? I don't understand what this means. CloneBD only accepts a BD or UHD as input, not an MKV. Didnt know that. The issue with clonebd is you can not select just the forced subs within the subtitle track

Re: Suggestion on what to do

I tried it again on Mall Cop Using direct disc access mode LibreDrive firmware support is not yet available for this drive (id=5861E4013FB5) CellWalk algorithm failed (structure protection is too tough?), trying CellTrim algorithm Cells 1-6 were removed from title start Cells 36-39 were removed fro...

Hi,

I have many Atmos rips on Plex server running on Synology NAS. I try to play them on Nvidia Shield through an Atmos Denon AVR. I never get Atmos, I only get TrueHD.
Would you please help me? How exactly to you play your rips and get Atmos?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Ripping Dolby Atmos into MKV

Plex does not do lossless audio last time i checked HUH? Plex has always supported bitstreaming, especially on the SHIELD. I've had zero issues bitstreaming all the HD audio formats in plex on my SHIELD. So I don't know where your comment comes from. yea, i was thinking of something else....sorry.

Re: Ripping Dolby Atmos into MKV

Yep, what bmillham said. Dolby Atmos is just metadata tacked on to a True HD track. I've got over a 100 UHD's with Atmos tracks that play and decode fine on my receiver (atmos flag lights up and sound comes out of the height speakers.) DTS-X also works perfectly. The only issue I have with atmos is...
