Re: WP50NB40 cross flashed to BP60NB10 won't read UHD Disc
I am trying to read Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny UHD on my WP50NB40 cross flashed to BP60NB10 v1.00 firmware. It doesn't open the disc at all. This is the only UHD disc I have had issues with on this drive, the non-UHD disc version was read fine. Should I just ask for a replacement disc? s...

Re: Recommendation for best (most reliable and versatile) LibreDrive for 2024?
Can I get a recommendation for an external UltraHD drive in the US? If there are no good external/portable drives I will take an internal SATA drive if necessary. Unfortunately bought a Pioneer BDR-XD08U on recommendation from a friend and it's got the new firmware so it doesn't work for UltraHD di...

Re: Pioneer BDR-212V
Please explain the following: What does the automated flasher do? What is the result from it compared to how the drive is now? What will I be missing without it? Can't it just be cross-flashed with the firmware from one of the other models? Does MakeMKV address the LibreDrive aspect of it? Thanks! ...

Re: Place internal 5,25 drive vertically
it should work you just might sometimes have a disc fall on the floor when you eject it or its going in because of the try slop the amount it can jiggle when its moving in and out the pioneer s13's have less of that than the lg/asus and pioneer 212 so that probably the preferable drive for that use ...

Re: Verbatim 34888 is super
Which is better? 1) Verbatim 43888 Slimline with Pioneer UD04 (~100 bucks) 2) Archgon MD-8107S-U3YC-UHDB-K with LG BU40N (~150 bucks) These are two slim drives I can buy in my country right now as I see them on Amazon and both should work more or less out of the box or with little effort. But whi...

Re: LibreDrive for Pioneer drives
Hi there I recently purchased a Pioneer BDR-XS07TUHD drive to use on my M2 Mac laptop to backup some of my 4K UHD movies. Unfortunately, I didn't realise there would be so many copy protections and I am basically unable to use the drive. After some searching, I stumbled upon this forum to discover ...

Re: Lost UHD support on flashed drive
you can take the drive apart and clean the laser but most people dont do it but yeah eject the try use a plastic pry tool pop off the bezel clips on the 2 sides and bottom then 4 screws on the bottom and the the top will wiggle off then you can see the lasers dont use one of those cleaning discs the...

Re: ASUS BW-16D1X-U - Flashable?
I tried to send you a PM but it won't let me. Check PM. When I follow your instructions, it is saying "Drive and Firmware hardware types don't match." Any suggestions? Email me for an auto flasher that does everything for you it does not need all that user input and your not even supposed...
