Re: Asus BW-16D1HT 3.10 MK Question

Follow this video and done Just be aware 3.10mk permanently disables dos flash https://youtu.be/Yfpf6HoMMis This doesn't answer any of my questions about if the EEPROM calibration data is still needed with the v3.10 MK firmware. However I did decide to flash the v3.10 MK firmware anyways. Not sure ...

Re: Asus BW-16D1HT 3.10 MK Question

Have a question I wasn't sure about. I have the Asus BW-16D1HT that came with a patched v3.02. Then flashed the clean v3.02 so I can rip discs. During that process in the guide we had to copy the EEPROM calibration data from the dumped firmware and patch it into the clean firmware. Flashed that fir...

Re: NEW OPTION: 'UHD Friendly' Firmware Downgrade / Cross-Flash Using Official (Modified) ASUS Flasher for ASUS & LG Dri

can not find any tool to downgrade BC-12D2HT from 3.11 to 3.10 at this location. Might be removed. Any other resource available? ASUS_ODD_FW_Changer_(Modified).exe is always throwing Error #4 You just flash the bw16d1ht 3.10 and if you don't want that firmware then flash your firmware of choice it ...

Re: bu40n UltraHD drive may work, GTX 1060 and PowerDVD fails

Don't know, never got it to work. Nor do I care, tbh. I use J River MC with madvr's exceptional tone mapping on my C8. PowerDVD was just me screwing around trying to get it to work since I got the 9900k. But after tons of SGX issues and whatnot, short of reinstalling Windows, it's not getting fixed...

Re: Problem with The Fifth Element 4K and LG BU40N

Just wondering how long it can take to get a hashed key... I sent in the dump file and have not heard anything. http://www.makemkv.com/svq/sdf.bin found it you will probably also need the hashed keys https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=16959 not as up to date as the ota version but i...

I've found the mk firmware 1.01 for WH16NS60. Where can I find the MK release of the v.1.00 or is the v.1.01 as good as well ?

Re: bu40n UltraHD drive may work, GTX 1060 and PowerDVD fails

makemkv is made to get around this in multiple ways but here is full explanation Hi Alex is right that the BU40N can play UHD disks back on pc fine but your computer must meet the requirements if you want to use powerdvd the only official UHD player on PC and you must use 7th gen or newer intel cpu...

Re: Problem with The Fifth Element 4K and LG BU40N

How do you enable/disable libre drive? On that note, I keep reading postings which to me sound like having libre drive firmware installed is a requirement to using MakeMKV? Is that true? to disable libre drive delete privatedata.tar or just the sdfs inside it so you keep the hashed keys. then disab...

Re: UASP capability of optical drives

Hi, i have a ASUS BW-16D1HT and a LG BH16NS55 which i sometime use with a sata/ide<>usb2 adapter as external drives in windows 10. It works with makemkv without problems but is very slow due to usb2 speed. Recently i bought a cheap sata<>usb3 adapter with a power supply (~20Euros) in hope to rip th...

Re: ASUS BW-1601HT best firmware

@Majorkottan Good that your problem was resolved. I ‘m also using an Asus BW16D-1HT blu-ray drive with Firmware 3.01 in Mac OSX. For the time being will be using Firmware 3.01 until such time I would decide on the MK3.10. Average ripping time for 4K UHD discs is 35 mins to 50 mins depending on the ...

Re: Will official UHD drives ever have full makemkv functionality without having to downgrade the firmware?

For instance, the WH16NS60. Will this drive always have to be downgraded to 1.00 to read UHD or will future makemkv versions eventually work with the newer firmware? They probably will never work with official new firmware but there is mk firmware that works with makemkv that is based off the newes...
