Re: Recommendation for best (most reliable and versatile) LibreDrive for 2024?
In the US, looking for a good BluRay drive. I've ripped my normal DVDs and now I'm to the point where I am ready to start on the 40-50 BluRays I own. Would prefer a slim external, as my primary chassis doesn't have bays, but I'm not opposed to a 5.25" with an adapter/enclosure. I do not have (...

Re: Pioneer drives: Question regarding form factor and cross-flashing
The 5.25 pioneer are the best you can get for UHD. For LG/Asus it's swapped the 5.25 is junk and you should only get the slims. They are slightly less reliable and for the slot load one much harder to do maintenance. Like cleaning the laser. Cross flashing has no disadvantages for ripping but can me...

Re: LOADS of A/V sync issues
I've been ripping my whole blu ray and 4k collection over the past few weeks. I'm using my desktop and my laptop simultaneously using two identical Pioneer BDR-UD04s. I noticed though that my desktop seems to rip the disks effortlessly while my laptop seems to have a log that is constantly riddled ...

Re: Changing drive serial number through firmware?
I guess I am going to have to figure out some solution without changing the serial number. Setup time for multiple instances definitely takes longer, but once you know what drive is what, then it is a bit easier. Thanks again. just put the last 4 of the sn on the drive with a label maker or somethi...
