Re: Drive refusing to even read Spider-Man (2002) DVD
It sounds like an issue with the drive recognizing the disc since it’s not just MakeMKV giving you an issue on this particular disc. So it’s either the disc (despite the disc looking physically okay) or it’s your drive reading the disc (despite the drive working on other discs). One thing I’ve done ...

Re: Supernatural season 2 disk 3 error
Have you tried opening the disc more than once? Have you disabled any other programs (or Windows automatic actions) that may be trying to access the disc at the same time as MakeMKV? I also find that an old DVD-only drive can have an easier time with DVDs than a newer Blu-ray drive, if that’s an opt...

Re: Jurassic World 5-Movie Collection UHD Rips with Playback Issues
Still could be a codec issue or graphics driver issue. Can your PC handle the load? I’d agree that it seems to be a playback issue - even though 2 of the 5 were fine - especially since the rip reports completion without issue. Barring any errors, and as I don’t have these particular discs, I’m afra...

Re: battlestar galactica which file is the menu?
^ Yup, solid advice. Checking the writer and director is also my go-to when the episodes are out of order and lack on screen episode titles, I find it the quickest method (Wikipedia is great for this, if the release doesn’t mention it in a booklet). Watching the start of the episode compared to play...

Re: Can't rip anything except the main feature from GvKG/GvM
I'm glad you were able to figure something out, certainly not ideal, but perhaps better than nothing.
With the errors you mentioned, it does seem there could be an issue with the disc.
Hopefully maybe someone else who has this disc can chime in here.

And just to confirm, you do have "Enable Internet access" checked in Tools / Preferences / General?

Re: Jurassic World 5-Movie Collection UHD Rips with Playback Issues
What failed was the RIP made by MakeMKV, which does not show any errors but the file has playback issues. I didn't misunderstand what you wrote... I'm still suggesting that you try a different player instead of VLC for the RIP, since you say that the rip shows no errors in MakeMKV when you rip it. ...

Have you checked out Manual DVD Mode?
You may need to use it to access troublesome or missing titles.

Re: Star Wars and MCU questions
I didn’t have any issues getting all of the One Shots. I don’t recall, are any of them very short? You may need to lower the title length to less than the 120 seconds default if you haven’t already. (120 seconds is pretty long. Sometimes there are things such as director introductions etc that fall ...

Re: Jurassic World 5-Movie Collection UHD Rips with Playback Issues
Per the stickied UHD FAQ, I’d suggest to use a player other than VLC. Such as http://mpv.io
I don’t have these discs in particular so perhaps someone else can comment, but UHDs don’t use FUTs, do they?

Re: battlestar galactica which file is the menu?
Welcome to the world of TV discs, you’ll have to work though the content to determine what’s what, and what order it goes in. I can’t remember for sure but including/excluding Japanese language options may be duplicate playlists in this set. I seem to remember that some episodes have alternate exten...

Re: battlestar galactica which file is the menu?
It depends on if you mean the menu itself as a navigable thing, in which case Woodstock's answer applies, or if for whatever reason you're interested in the elements that the menu is composed of. If the menu has video running in the background, that video will be on the disc. In some rare cases, the...

Re: No Audio After Rip
1) Were audio tracks still selected when you made the rip? If they were, they should be included in the resulting MKV file.
2) You can use a program such as MediaInfo to see if there are audio tracks in your ripped MKV.
3) What playback software are you using? http://mpv.io is a common one.

Re: Men in Black III UHD
This is part of the Men in Black 4K Trilogy. There are two playlists that seem to be exactly the same. Does anyone know which is the correct playlist? For the Men In Black III UHD, the m2ts file that both playlists are based on has two different 5.1 English Descriptive Audio tracks with two differe...
