Re: 1.15.4 "Application fails to initialize"

Just a note: on Arch the AUR has makemkv and it installs with the normal methods.

Is that not working?

In Preferences, under Advanced, try this for ccextractor executable location:

/usr/bin/true

shattered Blu-ray disk

This is a new one for me. I started a full disk backup of a standard Blu-ray and left the house. MakeMKV reported errors when I returned. Re: Question to all: MakeMKV without GUI, console only

These are "safety backups" of my Blu-ray collection. I may want to extract mkv files in the future and a comm...

Re: same drive, different OS, different AACS support levels?

I believe "highest AACS version" is the highest version the drive has seen. It gets updated with new discs.

Re: Change container to VOB with FFMpeg and preserve chapters?

If I am recalling correctly, VOB files themselves don't have chapter info. That is kept in other files in the VIDEO_TS directory. Did you save the complete backup?

Re: Update MakeMKV?

When I ran a distribution that did not provide MakeMKV I would build it manually according to the instructions, but now I run a linux that does provide it, so I wait for the repository to catch up. For me it is usually only a day or two.

Am using Arch Linux, MakeMKV is in the AUR.

Redbox doesn't seem to have the Blu-ray.
