Re: I am not getting subtitle streams from Makemkv

Did you select FORCED only, or BOTH, main and forced? I tested both variants, but the "Forced only" works also as expected. I know that ripping 2012 using the forced only selection, the forced subtitle doesn't show. 2012? Respect, that you still know what disc and what tracks are selected for the r...

Re: I am not getting subtitle streams from Makemkv

Just ripped some Blu-rays with the "Forced Flag" set in the subtitles (extra forced subtitle track is cerated) and it works without any problems. To verify your problem select both checkboxes, make the rip and after this extract the subtitle track(s) with mkvextract or other tools. Then use the Java...

Re: No Disk Inserted

The disc must be detected by the OS (Windows), after this MakeMKV can access the disc.

What happens if the first DVD (the that works) is inserted?

Re: I am not getting subtitle streams from Makemkv

Something has changed. Don't think so, no problem at all with subtitles. Even if they are in extra tracks or with the "Forced flagged" subtitles. The process with only selecting the "Forced" track part is tricky. As Woodstock told, this is only working if the subtitle track has "Forced flagged" sin...

What is your procedure for splitting files with MKVToolNix?
I did it 2-3 times with the chapter split and it works for me.

Re: Low Sound On Playback

The sound adjusted in the Windows Mixer? This is something on your PC, not within the rip process.

Re: Splitting .mkv files

Then I moved to the Output tab. I asked for Part I to be "split based on timestamps". I put in time stamps, 0:00:00-0:01:14,0:01:14-0:12:39, et cetera. If you hoover over the timestamp input field, the syntax is shown. Do not specify "from-to" timestamps, specify only the timestamp for the split. I...

Re: Burn MKV back to DVD

What is the best way to burn MKV files back to DVD's? To create a "working" DVD playing in any DVD player? No idea which tool can do this, means creating a DVD structure from an MKV file. I tried it in the past by extracting the tracks as element files and add them to an DVD Authoring software but ...

Re: Warning message about DVDFab

Incorrect aspect ratios have nothing to do with DVDFab or MakeMKV. This are mastering errors of the DVD. The aspect ratio is set in the IFO file and in the stream. A have had many (most are older) DVDs with this problem. The IFO file is okay (16:9) , but the stream itself is flagged wrong (4:3). DVD...

Re: Splitting .mkv files

Can be done with "MKVToolNIX GUI". Go to the output tab and select "Before chapters" and add "all" or specific Chapter numbers.

Re: DTS Audio Question

Any DTS HD track (Extention of the Core) includes an DTS Core 5.1 track, that's the reason my MakeMKV shows the selection to extract the DTS MA (uses much more space) and/or the DTS Core 5.1 track. The Label is only a literal Name, no idea why the text is always "Surround 5.1". You can change it wit...

Re: Frozen in spots

You wrote nothing about the playing soft- and hardware. For me it sounds like a "buffering problem" during reading the stream data.
