As another interesting point, some of my external drives that I plug into my macs NEVER stop reading, even when not in use. This use to be attributed to a flaw in Spotlight when reading exFAT drives in El Capitan, but could be fixed by excluding the external drive from Spotlight. Now it seems that ...

Mike will have to decode the debug codes, so we'll have to wait for him. You might want to pack up the files requested in the FAQ in my signature and send them to support@makemkv.com to push the process forward a bit.
