Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Well at the moment I only have access to HDR10 via my Samsung. My next TV will have access to HDR10, HDR10+ and most like Dolby Vision and maybe HLG as well. But if I had to choose between Lossless Audio and DV over HDR10 + Lossless Audio then DV would lose out every time. Granted I have avoided be...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

You can say that not having lossless audio is a non-starter, but how is that any more important than not having DV at all? Well at the moment I only have access to HDR10 via my Samsung. My next TV will have access to HDR10, HDR10+ and most like Dolby Vision and maybe HLG as well. But if I had to ch...

Ability to rip by chapter.

Hi, Is there any way we could get the ability to rip a video title by chapter so that each chapter would be its own mkv file? Maybe have it output as "title_t00_Chap_01" etc. This would be great for Music BluRays and hopefully UHDs that generally replicate the CD/Album experience. This way...

Re: Ant-Man and the Wasp? hashed_keys.txt

Was just surprised as usually, the program has been able to decrypt things on day one.

Submitted my key.

Thanks.

Ant-Man and the Wasp? hashed_keys.txt

I know it's only officially been out today but since I had seen the UHD in the usual places I thought the key would be in the latest file. However, it doesn't seem to be the case. My UHD wasn't able to decrypt even after updating the txt file.

Anybody know if I am missing something?

Thanks.

Re: Star Trek TOS blu-ray errors - Failed to save title

Just wanted to post that I was coincidently ripping my TOS blu-rays tonight and since I know that I have ripped them before and that after downgrading to 1.12.2 it was able to rip correctly, I would have to say there is definitely an issue with 1.12.3. Just wanted to help out by chiming in. Once I a...

Re: MKV HDR?

As stated you have to make sure the devices you are playing through support HDR correctly and most of all you have to make sure you have the bandwidth and that Ples for your player is not automatically transcoding or set to anything less than Original. If for any reason the playback of the video is ...

Re: UHD sourced from 2K files

Call them fake or whatever but there are some UHD discs that look absolutely fantastic from a 2k DI. Agreed, the fact is that HEVC as a codec is more modern and the process of creating the 4K encode from the 2K Intermediate just ends up with a better looking end product. Throw HDR and higher Bitrat...

Re: 1080p vs 2160P

Loads of advice. Thank you. The nvidia shield has been on my mind but I recall codec issues when first released with their forums abuzz begging for codec pacs even for purchase. my next step, however, is to upgrade my gpu as I wonder if current has a problem; I know pascal arch is good for passing ...

Re: 1080p vs 2160P

As to the quality of 4K even a movie created from a 2K intermediate will fare better than the BluRay version of the same movie. HEVC/H265 is a more efficient codec and add to that the fact that the studios are taking advantage of the space this time instead of cheating out as they did in the beginni...
