Re: "Ultra hax0r guide" Questions From the Community
@SamuriHL, Can I run this from Windows or do I still need Linux? I ran it from windows cmd and it created a zip file but I can't open the zip file. It's definitely windows. If it created a zip file that you can't open, I would like the file you tested it on please so I can improve the tool. Thanks!...

Re: "Ultra hax0r guide" Questions From the Community
I wrote you a little utility that should help. I have only tested this on ONE LG firmware exe so I make no promises. LOL. It's a command line util so extract it and run it from the command line: E.G.: FirmwareExtractor WH16NS60.exe It'll output a zip file with the same base name as the exe you pass...

Re: "Ultra hax0r guide" Questions From the Community
Can someone please explain the following:
Thanks
I have no idea what this means! What file are you byte swapping? (PS: I'm a windows user!!!)LG - byte swap the file (dd conv=bs), then search for "PK" - this is the start of zip archive. Extract the zip archive, then unzip it.
Thanks

Re: Firmware downgrade using official (patched) flasher, the "Ultra hax0r guide"
@KiltedShane,
Go for it. I see you've chosen a DE (downgrade enabled) firmware from Billy. That's all you need to do. The flashing will take a minute and then tell you to reboot. (I didn't reboot when I flashed one of my drives and it downgraded fine. I'm using it right now.)

Re: Firmware downgrade using official (patched) flasher, the "Ultra hax0r guide"
@MaDMaX @Captain Ron,
As @SamuriHL said, I have patched the official ASUS 3.02 Updater (see last post of page 1) so that is all that you need to downgrade a BW-16D1HT from 3.03 to 3.02, even via USB.
This makes it a hell of a lot easier!!!

Re: Firmware downgrade using official (patched) flasher, the "Ultra hax0r guide"
Even Better!!! I have patched the official ASUS BW-16D1HT 3.02 Firmware Updater using Mike's instruction and used this to downgrade a BW-16D1HT-PRO with 3.03 to a BW-16D1HT with 3.02 by using just this exe. The drive was connected via USB and firmware update (downgrade!) worked flawlessly!!!! Here i...

Re: UHD Friendly drives for sale & flashing service (currently Australia only)
@Gty22, I don't usually time my rips. I just get them started and do something else until they finish. In saying that, I estimate that 1080p Blu-Ray discs take on average, approx 30 mins to back up. 4K UHD's take on average, approx 45-70 mins depending on the size of the disc. Also, the ASUS 3.02 fi...
