If you use DVDFab, then you need to use a non MK firmware version. Try looking at DVDFab's compatible dr...

Re: asus bc12d2ht usually fails to open UHD disc
I recently flashed my Asus BC12D2HT drive in order to rip UHD discs. The flash worked fine and the drive still reads regular BR discs no problem. it's the "MT1959" version of the drive which according to stuff I've read on here is required for this drive to take the flash I have successfu...

Re: Blu-Ray Drives that support UHD out of the box?
I looked over the thread that discussed drives that could be flashed for UHD, and decided that I do not want to go with that method, as it is too complicated. Instead I would rather just purchase an internal drive that supports UHD out of the box . I would also like it to be a 5.25" drive and ...

Re: Unable to rip DVDs of different regions?
Every DVD drive I've ever had including more recently the 2 USB externals and 2 SATA internals (Asus and LiteOn) have firmware region lock, and you only get a limited number of region changes in the Windows device options, so changing the region from one DVD disc to another is not a practical optio...

Re: Old (2016) Asus BW-16D1HT firmware update
Hi everyone, Got an option to buy used Asus BW-16D1HT from some person. I got a photo of a drive's front panel. And on the bottom of a drive a printed label says manufacture date is April 2016. 1) I've read this forum for a while and it seems that manufacturing date is ok for this drive to flashabl...

Re: LG BH16NS55, Pioneer BDR-XD05, Pioneer BDR-207D libredrives?
There is nothing wrong with the disc. The LG still gives scsi error on it while its fine with the pioneer BDR-XD05. It is a protected blu ray disc however, other disc is fine with the LG. I wil try ripping with any of my drives. Pioneer drives are still the best to get! Thanks for the clarification...

Re: LG BH16NS55, Pioneer BDR-XD05, Pioneer BDR-207D libredrives?
Thanks for your fast answer! I just flashed it again and it is still working, faster and noisier :-) Will test with the scsi error blu ray disc again later. Thanks again! Did you try giving that disc a bit of a clean? Also you should be aware that not all discs will work in a drive. As silly yit so...
