Re: A Simple Favor (US Retail)
I've come to the following conclusions: 1. There are more than one US retail versions and the segment numbers are different for the same scenes. 2. The latest version of MakeMKV identifies 00422.mpls as the correct segment map. This is definitely different (wrong) for my Blu-ray disc. 3. The correct...

Re: A Simple Favor (US Retail)
I don't have an elegant way of checking the segment maps. This is what I did. First I clicked on each chapter when playing the Blu-ray disc and also when streaming 422 through PLEX. Every chapter start matched, except chapter 6. Then I started watching chapter 5 on both devices. They start out the s...

Re: A Simple Favor (US Retail)
So I've been comparing 00422.mpls to the blu-ray disc. It's close to correct, but at the end of chapter 5 this segment map is wrong. There must be more than one retail version where the segments have new numbers. I would say that my blu-ray definitely starts out with 514, 511, and maybe 509. Can any...

Re: A Simple Favor (US Retail)
Can anyone confirm if there are more than one US retail versions? MakeMKV chooses this segment map as the correct choice: Title information Name: A Simple Favor Comment: FPL_MainFeature Source file name: 00422.mpls Duration: 1:56:50 Chapters count: 16 Size: 32.6 GB Segment count: 15 Segment map: 514...

Re: Knives Out - US Retail
OK, I just noticed something. If you just play the Blu-ray disc, the opening Lionsgate logo has music. If you start the movie from the main disc menu however, there is no music with the Lionsgate logo. I guess MakeMKV rips the latter Lionsgate intro.

Re: Knives Out - US Retail
I agree that 00628.mpls is the correct segment map for the US Retail version. Why is there no music when the starting Lionsgate logo appears however? There's music when I play the Blu-ray, but there is no music when I play the ripped MKV file in PLEX.

Re: Please Help With "Official" UHD Drive
I would just like to be certain that I've found the correct flasher to use for my LG drive. I already downloaded the MK firmware pack from the LibreDrive custom firmware thread. Is this the correct flasher? https://www.mediafire.com/file/8qcqztgcf84gotb/ASUS_ODD_FW_Changer_%28Modified%29_%2824.08.20...

Re: Please Help With "Official" UHD Drive
I just downloaded the MK firmware pack. Can someone help me with this easy way to flash an LG drive? The custom firmware thread states that detailed flashing instructions will be updated, but I don't see them anywhere.

Re: Please Help With "Official" UHD Drive
Thank you for the very quick response. Do you know if the agnostic firmware project has been cancelled or simply was not possible?

Please Help With "Official" UHD Drive
It's been a long time, but I remember reading through a long thread in these forums where Mike Admin described an ambitious project where LibreDrive functionality would be coming soon to any official UHD drive regardless of firmware. At least I think that is what the thread was discussing. I have be...

Re: Help With MakeMKV, Chapters & Plex?
"Wetware"? I'm not familiar with that term. I assume it's a joking jab at me, perhaps referring to my wet brain? Thanks for the explanation. That makes good sense. Perahaps you can answer one more question for me? Sometimes the chapter icons will be blank with no image. Sometimes I see images or mor...

Help With MakeMKV, Chapters & Plex?
I must have a setting wrong in MakeMKV or Plex. Here's the situation. I rip all my movies to the MKV container to watch using Plex. When I watch the movie in Plex and click on "chapters". it shows icons for every chapter. I can click on any icon and jump to that scene. However, the "next" button is ...

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives
Just for my education can someone explain to me what is the "sleep bug"? It is continually mentioned in various posts, but when I search the forums I cannot find a description. I currently rip UHD discs usually an ASUS friendly drive. Am I just not recognizing this bug? Thanks!

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives
Sorry to offend you st4evr. I did read this entire thread a few weeks ago. That's what made me decide to purchase an "official" UHD drive in the first place. I read LOTS of forum threads. I simply didn't remember that my question might have already been addressed. It doesn't make me a bad, slothful ...
