Re: Age of Ultron UHD failing repeatedly
the issue with discs failing is build 1.12.3, install 1.12.2 and every disc backs up just fine I would love for Mike to tell us why because some of us have no issues at all with 1.12.3. I just recently burned some of the Marvel movies since they were just released in UHD with no problems but others...

Re: Disney Bluray Rips
Long shot but try cleaning the discs with a solution of 50/50 water and rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth. Obviously the Infinity Wars is new, but you would be surprised at what is on a disc even though it is fresh out of the packaging. Are both of the discs brand new or just Infinity Wars? If ...

Re: Disney Bluray Rips
Did you test the other discs after the two in question were not being seen by MakeMKV?

Just to clarify, these two discs are bluray and not UHD bluray?

Re: Harry Potter 8 movie Collection 4K Discs
Looked the disc over and it had one barely noticeable smudge (had to be held at the perfect angle to see it). Odd since it went direct from shrink wrap to drive and I'm always really careful about not touching anything but the edges. This is why it is recommended that EVERY disc be cleaned before r...

Re: 1.12.3 Hash Check errors (bug)
If you are having problems where you can't rip, just reload the 1.12.2 version. Everyone who has had problems with new version and have gone back to previous version have had no more issues. On the other hand, many of use are using the new version with no problems at all. I just ripped the 4K Age of...

Re: Age of Ultron UHD failing repeatedly
You might consider going back to v1.12.2. Some have reported problems with the new version. Might be worth a shot. As for me, the latest version has been working great but not for some others.

Re: MakeMKV Opening the disc failed
To be a little clearer, what directory and drive is the main MakeMKV program in and what drive and directory is your MakeMKV data stored in? If the two locations are the same, that is the reason you are having the problem.

Re: MakeMKV Opening the disc failed
In your first post if I am understanding it correctly, you are saying your are copying the hash file to your makemkv file. The hash file is supposed to be placed in the MakeMKV data directory. The location of the data directory can be found in the preferences. Just go to view > preferences > general...

I wasn't aware the Mike confirmed a bug in 1.12.3. When did that happen? My 1.12.3 seems to be working very well so far.st4evr wrote:Mike confirmed a bug in the newer version. Using the previous version may result in a succesful rip.

Re: 100% Firmware Downgrade for ASUS BW-16D1HT and LG BH16NS
Actually, most of us are not cheap. I buy all of my UHD and blu ray discs and rip them so I can play them on any TV in my home. I do NOT rent discs and then rip them as I consider that to be piracy and theft but that is another issue. I could just buy a UHD player for my AV system but in the long ru...

Re: "This device does not exist"
You might try reverting to v1.12.2. Some people have had issues with v1.12.3 so it might help. In my case, I have not had any issues with the new version and I have ripped 2 UHD discs with it today and a bluray disc. Post back if you try this.
