Re: uhd friendly drives not being uhd friendly

Gonna have to provide more details so that someone can better advise if possible. Help us help you. Being vague and/or simply saying “they don’t work” is not enough to help in an online forum. Have you read the guide? https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19634 Did you already flash...

Re: LG WH14NS40 not reading discs after flash

You just bricked your drive. Discussed and warned hundreds of times across the forum against this already. Example: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=19071 As well as explicitly warned in the pinned UHD drives guide. You did not do proper research on this prior to flashing the d...

Oh fantastic, I will do that! I am unable to find a link on the website to purchase? Would you kindly direct me to the link, thank you!

And ignore the Paypal option. Unfortunately, that payment method is currently unavailable for purchasing MakeMKV.

Re: April 2020 - Libre Drive Recommendation

You do not need Libredrive support to rip BD content. The reason behind this has been discussed hundreds of times. Example: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=21989 And many more in-depth discussions on this can be found through a quick google/forum search if you would like to go...

Re: ASUS BC-12B1STB 1.00

1) You posted in the “Libredrive” subforum, so if you want immediate support for that feature you will need one of the newer drives that is currently supported.

2) UHD BD content decryption.

No, you will brick it. That's an old drive model. Buy a new compatible drive if you want the newer features.

Re: Making sense of LibreDrive and the 4K UHD HDR world - is it worth it?

What have a gained with LibreDrive? I know I can now rip UHD discs, but what about my "unrippable" stack of blurays? When I ripped my regular blurays (before libredrive) there were a few that I couldn't get to rip. Should I go back to the unrippables and try them again with LibreDrive, or...

Re: Bad Boys For Life

Differences and/or similarities of SKUS have nothing to due with the AACS encryption processes and/or differences in AACS keys as implemented by AACS LA and studios. Never has and most likely never will.

It is dependent on other factors.

Re: Just Bought the Asus BC-12D1HT

It is not a very popular drive for this purpuse, but some have had luck with it: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/search.php?keywords=12D1HT So, if you can instead get one of the recommended drives where you live, do so. Read the guide for those requirements. https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php...

So again, this is occurring in playback for both the MKV container of the movie(s) and full folder structure? Is there any other PC available (with compatible/recent GPU for 4K playback) where playback of the exact same copies/files can be tested? Also, are you using the latest MakeMKV release/versi...
