Re: Game of Thrones UHD Complete Series 1-8 - No Decrypt Key yet
Season 5 is being a real pita, all the other seasons (bar one disc in S7) pretty much ripped after cleaning, some required multiple cleaning attempts but the 3 3 layered discs in S5 just seem to be incredible stubborn. I do find if discs fail you just have to keep cleaning, and cleaning, and cleanin...

Re: Game of Thrones UHD Complete Series 1-8 - No Decrypt Key yet
I have to stop with the ripping as I was running into a lot of issues where the discs need cleaning (a lot) and found my hand around the thumb area was starting to hurt a lot (cue all the masturbation jokes) I tried cleaning using my left thumb but I just can't get a firm a rub down. I also had one ...

Re: American Made UK multiple drive/disc errors
I have a UK disc and ripped it without a problem, sounds like you need to spray some cleaning alcohol on it and wipe the disc using a micro fibre cloth.

Re: Game of Thrones UHD Complete Series 1-8 - No Decrypt Key yet
Reading this sounds like I have a lot of fun ahead of me, just got my Steelbox yesterday, S1D1 no problem, S1D2 needs wiping down with a microfiber cloth. S1D3 oh dear need several cleaning attempts to even register in the drive. There is a long road ahead which is seriously making me question this ...

Re: V for Vendetta
So upgraded last night and the first attempt failed, couldn't read a particular sector when loading the list of titles. Cleaned it again (3rd time since I had the disc) and then magically I got it to read and rip, still took a long time to be recognised by the drive but it got their in the end. Same...

I have a Asus BW-16D1HT running 3.02 and recently started to see it was having issues reading new discs and so have been looking at upgrading the firmware to 3.10. Just want to check do I just run the Cross-Flash tool and select ASUS-BW-16D1HT-3.10-WM01601-211901041014 in the MK folder? Seems very s...

V for Vendetta
Anyone tried V for Vendetta yet? Lots of problems getting my drive to detect the disc, lots of cleaning and still only once in 10 attempts will the drive acknowledge a disc in the drive. When it does recognise the disc I see errors like: Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:INVALID COMMAND OPERATION ...

Re: Back to the Future won't read on my ASUS drive
Man just want to say, thanks to the advice on this thread I have now been able to rip a bunch of discs in my collection that would just fail, not get recognised or produce some kind of error. I have managed to get all of those ripped over the last few days. Now feeling a bit better about having the ...

So I have had loads if issues trying to rip this since the day it came out, every now and then i would give it a go and it always failed. Today however I used the method of cleaning a disc that was in the BTTF ASUS drive thread and it completed the rip, very slowly, like almost just shy of 2 hours b...
