Re: Custom firmware

You can downgrade the mk version as Mike removed the downgrade restriction. The official 3.10 is not downgradable. But people have already tried downgrading the mk 3.10 to 3.02 and it works for them. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk Cool! Thanks for the info! Then I'll go ahead and try MK3.10 :D

Re: Custom firmware

I have a question about the Asus MK3.10 firmware. I read that the official 3.10 firmware makes it impossible to flash back to older versions using the official Asus firmware updater. Is that the same for the MK3.10 version? If I were to install the MK3.10 firmware on my Asus, will I still be able to...

Re: Custom firmware

So, I have the Asus 16D1HT. Is it recommend to stay on official 3.02, or should I update to MakeMKV's 3.10?
If I use MakeMKV's 3.10, will other software aside from MakeMKV still be able to read UHD discs like with 3.02?

Re: Help is my drive compatible? Wont read uhd

I have a ASUS BW-16D1HT and LibreDrive is not enabled, any leads on how do I get it enabled? I bought that drive a couple of days ago. I had to downgrade the firmware from 3.03 to 3.02 and then LibreDrive worked. Though, I believe it only goes into LibreDrive mode with UHD discs (but I haven't look...

Re: Help is my drive compatible? Wont read uhd

Do you have any recommendations on a external UHD and libredrive capable drive? Yep, an internal drive in a USB external enclosure. Take your pick of drive. BU40N, WH16NS60, ASUS BW-16D1HT, WH16NS40, BH16NS55 I have a ASUS BW-16D1HT and LibreDrive is not enabled, any leads on how do I get it enable...

Re: Does libredrive mode allow makemkv to be more resilient when ripping?

Disclaimer: I'm not an expert on optical media + I pretty much never used makemkv before (I only heard about it because of the LibreDrive which sounds pretty interesting). Nevertheless, I think that LibreDrive does not necessarily makes MakeMkv work better with scratched discs. The reason that they ...

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

I'm considering buying a BD drive. What drive should I go for with this new LibreMode and UHD blu-ray discs in mind? The Asus BW-16D1HT or the LG BH16NS55 ? They're practicially the same price, though the Asus one has been available since 2014 while the LG one is listed as for sale since 2016. So, t...
