Re: Can't copy Les Triplettes de Belleville
Is it possible your PC or blu-ray player are region specific? Normally this isn't so as I have ripped many Region B Blu-rays on my system (PC w/ Windows 7 64 bit)

Re: Can't copy Les Triplettes de Belleville
I have this blu ray but it is region B as this is not available in the US. Is your OPPO region free? I have ripped it with MakeMKV with no problems.

Re: Latest version fails to rip anything with LPMC Audio
Same here. Hildalgo with LPCM 5.1 fails on 8.12. Rip works on 8.11

HD Audio
Whenever I am ripping, I always have to check the HD audio on as by default it is unchecked. Why can't this be set "ON" in preferences or setup. This becomes somewhat of a pain when ripping shows and having to open each file and checking. Is there a reason that this is off by default?

Region B
I am looking at purchasing a Region B blu-ray of LOTR which is much cheaper than the US Region A version. My blu-ray player won't play it. Will MakeMkv rip the disc in a standard PC or am I missing something?

Avatar Extended Version
I recently had a harddrive crash and lost my rip of Avatar. I attempted to make another mkv from the same blu-ray and always received a fatal error, no file saved. I cleaned the disk and got the same result. The disc is not scratched or damaged in any way. The original rip was done sometime after Av...

Re: @mike admin Addition to methods of Full Disc Blu-ray bac
Oh, we're mis-communicating. I agree, unlike DVD, there is no single reason to use ISO images for blu-ray. My question was, why would you need to decrypt blu-ray files - your question assumes that somehow you've ended up with encrypted blu-ray filles on a hard drive - these are extremely rare. This...

Re: Encrypted backup
Hi! You may not be aware that makeMKV has streaming capability - and if I remember correctly, it will do decrypting "on the fly". Click on the following link: makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=703 I've messed around with the streaming, but it's not ready for prime time. You can't...

Encrypted backup
On several occasions I have forgotten to click the "decrypt" option when making a full disc backup. No big deal in that MakeMkv can still make the "movie only" from the backup. MPC-HT now has the ability to play a movie directly from the index.bdmv file, however, the movie must b...
