Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Hey RESET, is there a way to generate a P7 RPU with an xml file from resolve. Keeps defaulting to P8.1 Not directly but if you have the original P7 RPU and you used the original scene cuts, you can copy the metadata levels from your P8 RPU with workflow 2-6. I did it a couple of times for some stat...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Thanks for your response, one more question for you: You've noted that P5 > P8 due to the colourspace being equivalent to 11.5-bit YCbCr > 10-bit YCbCr. Is there a noticeable difference between P8 and P5, assuming that it's the same master/streaming quality, on consumer-grade 10-bit panels ? Simila...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I now have a couple of FEL P7 DT DV movies that I want to convert to FEL P7 ST in order to play them in Plex. I use macOS myself, is there a handy tool to convert/mux DT to ST? I heard RESET saying that it's now possible to do in MKVtoolnix, but I don't really know how to use that tool. It only wor...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
it's a kodi limitation and there's no point using DT-DL mp4/ts/m2ts on this device. MKV is a much better container.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
On my end, GTV PLEX is unwatchable when ''HW overlay'' is not disabled. Micro stuttering every 30 seconds or so.Also tried to set HW overlay to off (which I have to turn on disable HW overlay ironically) but it didn't help the Kodi stuttering.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Go into the Plex settings and make sure that ' 'force profile 7'' is enabled. The Chromecast seems to have some EL/BL sync issues though. Check out this test file, there's is an encoding bug/artifacts in the HDR10 BL that FEL can fix but it doesn't work on the Chromecast. I also tried to let play Po...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
No, since Resolve now also has the Ll1 tunning, there's no longer a difference with CM, so there's no need to separate them and the tag ''generated'' means CM or Resolve as it says in the folders explanation:

Did it in Resolve.DylanValenti wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2024 10:37 am@reset how did you generate rpu for films with variable l5 like oppenhiemer? I have a custom file with variable l5, but I thought the cm analyze dolby algo could not do this and it needed to be done with resolve?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Yes, L3-L8 won't have any effect on your CMV2.9 TV. With the FEL test file, it should display the ''this device supports FEL'', react to L1/L2 and L5 at the end of the pattern. For the chroma weight test, you should test only the cmv2.9 version but some of the CW test files(eagle beak) I did might h...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Different? Dont compare the picture from a youtube video with what you see in real life. The point of the FEL test file is that you can see the text that tells you your devices support FEL and the brightness change to L1 L2 L8
