Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Does somebody knows if there's a list or sheet online which has information on all UHD DV discs including the amount of "nits" ?
Because some of them are mastered in 1000nits and some in 4000nits.

Just a thought, it would be nice if there was some kind of a database that holds the playlist information for each bluray disc (for lazy people like me).
Especially when ripping series, it would be nice to know which playlist represents a certain episode.

Re: Dolby Vision is missing Access Unit Delimiters

Btw, just to let you guys know.
Mike responded a while ago and said he added support for the AUD.
I personally didn't have time yet to confirm it's working.
But if anybody else would like to give it a shot and report back, please do :)

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Can I just use tsmuxerGui to add the movie.hevc as the first track. And then open the main playlist from the original bluray disc and add the TrueHD+ac3 core audio as second track. Then just mux both tracks into a m2ts container. yes thats how you do it. Thats the strange thing, I just tested it wi...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Just a quick question. Without using RESET_9999's scripts.. Lets say I have created my final hevc file. And I want to pack it into a m2ts file with audio. Can I just use tsmuxerGui to add the movie.hevc as the first track. And then open the main playlist from the original bluray disc and add the Tru...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Perhaps somebody knows. But I've created a few movies with the dovi_scripts. They are single track dual layer profile 8. I have muxed them to m2ts for playback on the Shield. The ones with DTS-MA play properly. However the ones with Dolby TrueHD seem to only play audio, the picture is frozen. Any id...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I'm trying to use RESET's DV scripts to convert my Westworld discs to mp4 using the old mp4muxer method using .ts input (7-2-4). For this I've used TSMuxerGUI first to extract the first episode (00089.mpls) to ts file. The audio track seems to be TrueHD and I didn't downconvert it to AC3. When openi...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

I still have some friends with the older 6-series LG OLED models and it seems they only play DV from MP4. TS/M2TS doesn't work for these models. Also the same limitations like only lossy audio supported (e)ac3 and no PGS subs (if that's even supported for MP4 containers). External .srt work. Tested ...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Hi, Not exactly what you asked but I just quickly added a workflow that can mux dual lossy audio + sub ( I may add lossless audio support in the future). MODE.M4 ---> MODE.1 ---> Workflow.2 Reason for this is that DD+ doesn't work over ARC in some cases due to bandwidth limitations. DD+ 1536kbps wo...

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

@RESET_9999 Your scripts are awesome. It seems the older 2016 LG OLED models can only playback DV when packed into mp4 container. My C8 LG will also play them when muxed into TS or M2TS container. So for 100% compatibility with all devices, it's best to store in mp4 container, so you can serve every...

Re: SDFtool Flasher

Any reason why I should choose the MK 1.02 over version 1.03?
I mean the latter is more recent right?

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

Did anybody ever got the older LG OLED 6 series (B6, C6 or E6) to trigger DV when muxed into .TS or .M2TS containers? I'm remuxing them as profile 8 (mode 2) with the first audio track being the AC3 one and the second one HD-audio (just for preservation purposes). They play fine on my C8, but not on...

Re: Looking for a WH16NS60 in Europe

Thanks for the fast reply Coopervid. Yes, I'm backing up to my NAS which has a fault tolerance of two disks. However I'd like to store some backups on m-discs as well. I know they're expensive, but I only need to backup a limited amount of data. And they seem to last way longer than HDD's. Thanks, a...

Looking for a WH16NS60 in Europe

Hi there, I'm looking to get a WH16NS60 because I'm also going to be using it for backing up a lot of things. Actually I will not do a lot of reading at all. From my research, this drive seems to perform best at writing BDXL m-disc drives (up to 100GB) using imgburn. That's why I'm looking for a gen...
