It's probably the encoding of the files on the disc, not MakeMKV's fault. I had a BITCH of a time getting a copy of Christina, Barcelona that would play. I think it was a VC-1 (Micro$**t codec) encoded. Check the codec on TotSM. If it's VC-1, there's your problem. Just don't ask to see my badges! ;-)

Is there any way of finding out whether new SVQs are ready, or not, without going and trying to rip the discs again? It would be nice to have an alert emailed, or pop up, or at least a comment on rip reports saying "yep, it works now". PS: I emailed the dump files, and it looks like they m...

I had to powercycle and start/kill/start MakeMKV, but eventually hit upon the correct state and got a good rip.

Well, not sure about whether Mountain Lion could be the culprit... But would still love to see MakeMKV rip this disk properly.

I think I managed to get a full-disc backup by leaving it running for about a day. I wonder how much life I just took out of my bluray drive...!

Well, it's killing MakeMKV. "MakeMKV (Not Responding)", i.e. crashed. Spinning Gay Beachball of death. ... or is it? I see that it's using 95% CPU, 95, 94, 96... So, it isn't totally crashed.... I have no idea what is going on here.

Brand new disc today, using MakeMKV 1.7.4. SSDD. DBG ASSERT errors, and then sloooooooow ripping with time to finish estimate constantly climbing. It seems insane that BBC would be the ones to develop a DRM to stump the Great Mike! What shall I do to help here?
