Re: "Fake playlist" protection - help needed

Is there a way to unselect all the playlists that default to selected when you scan a disc? Ctl-A doesn't work and unchecking each playlist is really a pain on Lionsgate titles.

Re: Multiple Instance Ripping?

To facilitate this, check "Ask for single drive mode" on the IO preferences tab. This asks you to assign a specific optical drive to each instance of MakeMKV & avoids conflicts. This is really important and makes life much easier. Otherwise there can be thrashing while the second instance of MakeMK...

Re: Cracker: To Be a Somebody

And I was able to grab this off an individual DVD (not from the box set) with no problems. As posted previously, suspect the box set dvd was a mastering error or construct that makedvd couldn't deal with.

Re: Different drives, different decrypt times

FWIW I find that using AnyDVD to handle RPC and running MakeMKV on top of that works the quickest for DVD discs. For BR disks, I just use MakeMKV.

Burnable DVD Life

Not unexpected, but as I go though my library of physical media, I'm discovering that many of the CDs and DVDs I burned back in the day (~20 years ago in some cases) have become unreadable. Fortunately, I have digital copies of most of these already, so it's not a catastrophe. I do recall warnings a...

Re: Can't Rip Rise of Skywalker Screener

This kind of discs fails in most cases, because they are special (see you message about the file system). Do these require a DVD player with dedicated firmware to playback, or can they be played in any standard DVD player? Just curious - I thought the only specific protection was use of the region ...

Re: Cracker: To Be a Somebody

Buffed it out, but didn't make any difference and it seems to play in a DVD player with no problem. Ordered a new DVD, but suspect it may be a mastering error or something makemkv hasn't seen before. Strange, as it's not a newer title.

Re: Cracker: To Be a Somebody

The disk is pretty clean, but I do see a very fine linear scratch on one part of it. I'll pick up some plastic polish today and see if I can buff it out.

Re: Problems with "Man With The Golden Gun" and others

Coincidentally, I happened to be ripping my Bond MGM/UA box set yesterday. No problem with any of the discs, including The Man With The Golden Gun. You might try a different drive. I find that switching between my DVD burner and a BR burner sometimes works as they have different lasers/calibrations....

Re: Failed to save title to file revisited

I'm having the same problem with the I'm Alan Partridge DVD. Track 3 (Title 2) gets all the title, then fails. Tried with multiple optical drives and multiple destinations, with and without AnyDVD. Log entries are: Saving 1 titles into directory Z:/MakeMKV DEBUG: Code 7 at PT-QVWpr6F12!+sOW+:2131359...
