Did you ever find a solution? I just started ripping these and the first disc of season 3 is only reporting 6 episodes in MakeMKV but the disc label itself lists 7! I haven't tried putting it in my actual blu-ray player to verify that all 7 are on here, maybe I'll try that next...

False alarm! I switched power supplies and everything is back to normal! I re-configured my desk and ended up using with a power supply with 1.5A instead of the 2A listed on the drive's enclosure. Switched to a beefier one and everything is back to normal!

:!: I've seen other threads where this error is reported as a bad disc and/or drive, so maybe it's a coincidence, but this thing has burned almost 3,000 discs without issue, until this afternoon right after the upgrade to 13.0. Maybe a new permissions thing? Debug output below. I'm on MakeMKV 1.17.2...

Took two complete sets from Amazon but I finally got everything ripped!

I saw a dialog box on my Mac that I'd never seen before, saying that one the discs was blank! This was the OS itself, not MakeMKV.

Yep mine started working. I think the server that the latest keys download from was offline for a bit.
