Re: Cyberlink PowerDVD with a Flashed Pioneer

For now. Until they shut down the server that PowerDVD connects to in order to retrieve certs and keys.

Re: Cyberlink PowerDVD with a Flashed Pioneer

To be clear, they don't support it. They expect everyone to upgrade to the patch that removes it. But why would anyone do that? LOL So long as the patch is never applied, it'll continue to work until Cyberlink shuts down the online server that provisions keys. Unknown when that will happen.

Re: Cyberlink PowerDVD with a Flashed Pioneer

Only for those that take the latest update that disables UHD support. They said it works with their LG drive so clearly UHD support is working, just not with a flashed Pio drive that's not really official.

Re: Cyberlink PowerDVD with a Flashed Pioneer

Yea, it's not really weird. It's not an official drive. It's a drive that's been flashed but doesn't contain the AACS 2.x hardware required to properly decrypt the disc. So yes, as has been mentioned, decrypt it and it'll work fine.

Re: Star Wars Andor Disc Error

Huh? That disc isn't supported by MakeMKV yet. There's no mystery. Mike simply hasn't processed the dump. The reason it works with the keydb file (what you call findvuk, which is what is used to download the keydb file) is because there's a key in there that MakeMKV can use.

Re: Star Wars Andor Disc Error

Mine are from Walmart and ripped fine. I'm finishing up making a protected ISO of disc 3 as I type. Disc 1 and 2 were completely fine and I have protected ISOs of them copying to my NAS. They all open with the keys in the KeyDB so I'm good to go.

Re: Star Wars Andor Disc Error

I'm ripping disc 1 and 2 as we speak. Keys for all 3 discs are in the KeyDB, including the disc 2 variant that people have posted (same as mine). I'll rip disc 3 once disc 1 is finished. Love having multiple Pioneer drives!

Madam Web

MKB20_v77_Madame_Web_CDF2.tgz

Dump submitted. Also there's a key for this title in the keydb:

Code: Select all

Re: Star Wars Andor Disc Error

I got all my other discs today except Andor. That's delayed until tomorrow by the delivery company. I don't like seeing posts of issues with discs. I was able to make protected ISOs of everything that I got today: Falcon and Winter Soldier, Obi Wan, Moon Knight, and Madam Web (need to send that dump...

Re: How to rip an .iso file with MakeMKV

A command that's used in a bash shell but quite frankly if you couldn't get it to work with imgburn you're not likely to have more success with dd

Re: How to rip an .iso file with MakeMKV

Enable LibreDrive by opening the disc to the title selection screen in MakeMKV. Use DD to create an ISO from the disc sudo dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/some/folder/iso_name_here.iso Obviously you'll have to replace the dev device with the dev device of your UHD drive and the folder path and ISO name but it'...

Re: Super Mario Bros (1993) UHD issues

There's a private_data.tar file that is created from the encrypted hashed keys that are downloaded from the server. But that file is updated by MakeMKV and contains other data than just the hashed keys that MakeMKV uses to decrypt titles. There's not just "one file" that gets downloaded an...

No. That's not how it works. It's not a file.

Re: USB drive for using DVDFab / AnyDVD with UHD disks.

Bu40n is the only drive to recommend for what you want to do. Clearly you want to run findvuk and as mentioned you need an LG or Asus drive for that. I use my bu40n for that process.
