Re: Request: Show subtitle count in MakeMKV UI next to subtitle tracks
And how do you suppose would MakeMKV know if there's forced items in the last 10 minutes of a movie without actually parsing the entire file upfront?

Re: Subtitle problem on specific DVD
You need to decrypt first e.g. by ripping the complete disc to HDD with MakeMKV (or An*DVD). Then select demux on ALL German and English tracks in TSMuxer and upload the zipped file somewhere.

Re: Subtitle problem on specific DVD
You could demux both subtile tracks with tsmuxer (from the decyrpted disc) and upload it somewhere so we can take a look.

Re: Changing Default Subtitle
Yeah, well the forced selection rule I posted from memory does this without the GUI. If subtitles really start with a weight of 90, -11 would achive the same result. I'm glad you got it working though.

Re: Changing Default Subtitle
Which title should be set to default as I don't want either Japanese or English subtitles to appear (other than English Forced)? - Enable Expert Mode under Preferences > General - set Advanced > Default Selection rule to: -sel:all,+sel:(eng|nolang),-sel:(core),-10:(forced*(eng)) which should tick a...

Re: MKV File Subtile LG OLED G2
Is there another option? I personally use SubExtractor which works best in such cases. Rename all files to a scheme like this: my.tv.series.s01e01.sup my.tv.series.s01e02.sup my.tv.series.s01e03.sup etc. then go to file > open file > browse, select ALL episodes and click on 'next step'. The tool wi...

Re: MKV File Subtile LG OLED G2
Blu-rays come with PGS/SUP subtitles which are bitmap based. If your LG does not support those you need to OCR to srt with Subtitle Edit. With the file name similar to the mkv, your LG should play it. If it does you can mux the SRT into it with MKVToolnix.

Searching for 'forced' instead of 'subtitle' should turn up this.

Re: Subtitles - there one season, gone the next
I'm pretty sure the MP4 container does not allow for subtitle tracks. Except for Timed Text . The utility mkvpropedit, part of the MKVToolNix tools, can be used to set those flags as necessary. IMO you can better use MKVToolnix's Header Editor but YMMV. In other words, I really don't know what is g...

Re: Set Subtitles To Be Off By Default
You can name it anything you want, e.g. mine is called 'chet.mmcp.xml' with
<!-- profile name - Default -->
<name lang="eng">Chet</name>
and called as 'chet' under Advanced > Options > Profile.

What's the current state of using Win Software on MACs? You could try BDInfo on this one.
