Re: Get your drives here: ASUS BW-16, LG BU40, & WH16NS60 alexcoluzzi32@gmail.com for the best service!

This review is long overdue. I bought my drive from Alex at the end of 2019 and have nothing but nice things to say about Alex. Very kind, knowledgeable and helpful guy. Very quick to get back to me via text message and quick to ship out. Highly recommended and will order again for future builds no ...

Re: Right aspect ratio, but zoomed out?

The left side of both images are the same rip with all defaults set. The right side on the top image is stretched by VLC adjusting Video settings and on the bottom image is the original file remuxed to 1920x1080. I only did it just to see how it would look like. The original source mkv was not delet...

Re: Right aspect ratio, but zoomed out?

Yes everything is set to default. Did a remux to 16/9 and this is the result: correct ar stretched to 16x9.jpg It got stretched. Attempted another remux and this time changed display width/height to 1920x1080. The result seems a bit more passable. What do you think? edit: My mind is playing tricks o...

Re: Right aspect ratio, but zoomed out?

I just find it so odd that a disc would be produced with distortion. Then have another movie, shot the same year from the same series in a different format. So then the best way is to just zoom in/crop the image with the player software instead of attempting to correct it?

Right aspect ratio, but zoomed out?

Hello, I am ripping some movies off of a DVD. It is the "Carry On" collection, so there are 2 movies per disc. The original aspect ratio appears to be 16x9 or possibly it was matted that way. The second feature appeared squished as a 4x3 image. I adjusted the aspect ratio and now everythin...

Re: Live And Let Die - Extras Incomplete Rip

I watched the rip and noticed some visible rip errors, despite makemkv not reporting anything out of the ordinary. Luckily I was due for a new system, so I purchased a new drive and re-ripped the disc. The main feature worked perfectly! And more of the special features came through fine. There are s...

Live And Let Die - Extras Incomplete Rip

Hello, I am in the middle of ripping my "The James Bond Collection" Blu-Ray set. The movie Live And Let Die rips fine without any apparent errors, however, the extras are not all coming through. It appears that the shorter segments are being cut off. So something that might play for 1 min ...

Re: Subtitles on every time a mkv is played

I searched in both xbmc and vlc media player and neither had a simple way to turn on/off subtitles for the problem I was having. Very happy to report that mkvmerge is exactly what I needed. It resolved my problem completely! Thank you for your help and suggestions!

Subtitles on every time a mkv is played

I love this software, it's fantastic. The only issue I am having is that every time I rip a dvd and wish to include subtitles, they are always on by default when playing the mkv with vlc media player or xbmc. This can be disabled by turning off subtitles in the menu, but it becomes an annoyance when...
