I discovered that this issue was caused when my firewall blocked makemkv. Don't know why that caused makemkv to exit, but it would be nice if it logged what caused the exit.
I changed my firewall not to block makemkv and now it works as before.

When I launch v1.16.5 I get the usual window, but before it reads the blueray drive it displays a pop up which says "Fatal error occurred, program will now exit.". It does not matter if there is a disc in the drive or not, it does not get that far. I have tried going back to v1.16.2, but I...
