Thanks for feedback. I found out that the problem is related to the Blu-ray discs I tested with. Turned out these specific discs cause problems no matter the OS or ripping software used. Thanks for replying. As I mentioned above, it is NOT a VLC for Linux problem, since it plays anything flawlessly, UNLESS it is a Blu-ray dump created by MakeMKV for Linux. Update:
Uninstalled Flatpak, compiled MakeMKV for Linux myself. Same version. Unfortunately, same problem persists. So it wasn't the Flatpak version's fault.
