Re: Combining titles into a single, viewable, burnable file
The files are the same size that they are on the disc. If you are saying that you want menus, then no, you can't get there from here. If you want the files combined into one big file, then the beauty of the Matroska format is the mkvtoolnix application which will let you append the files together. I...

Re: Read Rate or Rip Speed
That might be 12x for a single layer, but 6x for a dual layer disc. I think that's the drive I have and I do get up to the full speed that the drive permits which is usually 6x. I didn't do anything special that I can recall.
And it goes faster for DVDs.

Re: MKV file vs M2TS file? What am I missing?
MakeMKV does not re-encode the video, and only has some options for converting the audio streams. Therefore, using MakeMKV to convert the contents of a DVD, HD-DVD, or Bluray to a Matroska container which is easily manipulated by mkvtoolnix makes life easier than ripping them to an m2ts file. The ri...

Re: Ripping tv series episodes in the right order
Not really. A disc can be mastered with the content in any order they want. They can master it with the episodes in inverse order, they can master them with the episodes in even even odd odd order, or however they want.

Just because a movie is old, doesn't mean it doesn't have some fubar DRM that is a problem.

Re: Terminator 2
I bought this some time ago, and never had any issue.
So either they remastered it to be a hassle, or it might be a bad disc.

Re: Ripping tv series episodes in the right order
It's dictated by the way the studios master the disc. Many of the discs I've ripped have been in order, and some were in a what-were-they-thinking order.
So, personally I don't see any hope for this be easily resolved.

Re: My sig has been disabled?
I've never heard of the stopforumspam site. I'll have to give it a recommendation at another forum that is pestered by scum trying to sell sofas online (who would buy a sofa/couch online? ) or who make a somewhat related post only to start spamming away later. Otherwise, someone here has a sig that ...

It's a popular tactic among the scum.
It might be better to moderate the first few posts similar to the way the Handbrake forum works.

Oh look! I have three unread messages. No emails were sent to let me know about these messages...
Looks like sigs with URLs have to be authorized. So I guess I wait for authorization.

My sig has been disabled?
I edited my sig down and now it's not showing. I tried changing it back to what it was, but it still isn't showing.
I see other sigs are showing so I'm wondering what is going on...

Re: Registration key
That's $50 for life. As in every time the studios don't want you to be able to use your media the way you want, and MakeMKV gets updated to handle the new DRM schemes. Of course you can use the free key and if it expires while Mike is off on vacation and doesn't update it, then you're out of luck, o...
