Re: AACS 2.0 is cracked?

And, until they release code and others can do it, too, there is no proof of anything. Four decrypted discs is pretty close to proof that somebody has something . Whether it is a crack or something else I don't know. Terminal are scene (and I suspect Throne are renamed as Terminal) so don't expect ...

Re: AACS 2.0 is cracked?

The timing seems to coincide with release of PC software player (PowerDVD) and UHD-BD certified drives. There are strict requirements for UHD-BD PC playback (new Intel platforms etc) and this was to ensure the sensitive stuff was done inside a secure execution environment. So there would not be a re...

Re: SlySoft DEAD

A lot of companies offer lifetime licence and later regret it. New product comes out (UHD BD), people with an existing lifetime license expect to get a free update to handle this product. That's not financially viable for the vendor so they shut down, create a new shell corporation and continue work...

Re: Firefly Disk 2

I tried it again a few hours later (ripped some other discs in the meantime) and it worked this time.
Strange, maybe my Bluray drive handles bad discs better when it is hot or something.
But anyway, all good. Thanks again.

Re: Firefly Disk 2

I have the same issue, Firefly Disc 2 (UK). Exact same offset as dgodfrey. I guess a bad pressing?

Code: Select all

Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading 'BD-RE ATAPI iHBS112 2 PL06' at offset '25024069632'

Re: DTS-HD MA - Why are MA and Core both selectable ?

The extra DTS core track (the one highlighted in blue in your pic) must a distinct track on that particular Bluray because I tested some of my discs and that does not show up. I can not think of many reasons why someone would want both the DTS-HD track (containing the core) and also another core tra...

Re: Seems overpriced?

Okay, thanks for the explanation, it seems it is out of the devs hands. Just a pity it is so much more expensive for EU customers.

Re: Seems overpriced?

This is nothing to do with where MakeMKV is based, it's down to the payment processor and your location. Of course where they are based is relevant. For example small companies in the US rarely charge vat on software sales into the EU. US and EU do not have trading or taxation agreements, nobody ca...

Re: Seems overpriced?

I was thinking of buying it today but when I went to the order page, it was €60.50 incl vat. That's the equivalent of $80. I have to agree, that seems kind of pricey, especially when Americans can get it for $50. Also regarding the VAT charge, where is MakeMKV based? Is it based inside or outside th...

[request] Audio track title

At the moment it just puts something like 3/2+1 in the audio title. It would be better if it put something like DTS 1536kbps 3/2+1 or AC3 640kbps 3/2+1 or LPCM 3/2+1 etc Just something so I know what codec the track is. Because in some software the title is the only thing you can see when switching ...

Re: Make.MKV Audio Secections DTS-HD

There is usually subs for the commetaries etc. They take up very little space so just grab them all if you are not sure which is which. It is better to have too many subs (you can easily mux them out later when you figure out which is which) then to forget to capture some subs and have to go back to...

Quick Q re: lossless audio on Bluray

Hi, When I use MakeMKV on a Bluray with DTS-HD MA audio, for the main audio I have two tickboxes: DTS-HD Lossless English ->DTS 3/2+1 English So if I tick the second option only, I just get the 1500kbps DTS core. What happens if I tick both boxes? Do I get one track that has both the lossy core and ...
