Re: Feature Request: Pause on read error

When you "pop the disk out", the operating system normally flushes all information about the disk. Put it back in, and the operating system does not say, "Same disk re-inserted", so there wouldn't be a way for MakeMKV to know it is supposed to "continue".

Re: "automatic sdf downloading is disabled or failed" while decrypting

This topic has gotten so old, are you talking about the John Wick 2 disk failing (what started the topic), or a different disk? JW2 is a long-ago solved issue, but it is possible the disk you're having an issue with is "too new". In your MakeMKV data directory, there will be a file created for any "...

Re: Newbie Issues

First question... Did you ask MakeMKV to open the disk? Just inserting the disk gets MakeMKV to load some basic information. At that point, you have some choices. The BIG button that looks like a disk will tell MakeMKV to open the disk and read its structure, and let you select titles to save as MKV...

Re: "automatic sdf downloading is disabled or failed" while decrypting

The sdf.bin file is actually "moved" into a file in your MakeMKV data directory, called _private_data.tar, and read from there. This file keeps all of what MakeMKV downloads for operation, so it (usually) isn't overwritten by other programs.

Re: Shadow (2019) - New Version of AACS

With LD, you no longer have to deal with key revocation... But you still have the encryption changes. AACS is a two-part affair.

Re: Shadow (2019) - New Version of AACS

Version 70 of AACS is one of the reasons that v1.14.4 was released, and I know from a recent rip that v1.14.4 can deal with it, and 1.14.3 and earlier cannot. So... What version of MakeMKV are you running?

If it's an actual Apple drive, it won't do Bluray OR UHD BD.

MakeMKV v1.12.0 win(x64-release) started
That version is WAY out of date... as in 18+months behind.

Try the current version (1.14.4) and it should work.

Do the errors stay in one place, or move around?

Re: American Assassin gets error

I can only relate the anecdote of Hercules Season 5, and one track one disk that failed to rip with 5 different drives, 3 different computers, and through 2 sets of disks, AND a Netflix rental disk. All failed at the same point. I finally was able to rip it by pulling out an old DVD drive, which man...

Re: Broken audio on new Blue Ray Discs

What happens if you play the MKV file on your computer, through something like VLC?

Smart TVs do not support all that many audio codecs.

Re: What are all these errors?

Searching Google for the error you're getting about the transport connection comes up with lots of hits for network issues, going back over 8 years, from a variety of programs. One of several (not always successful) work arounds is to map the location as a drive; when a resource is MOUNTED, Windows ...

Have you tried simply opening the ISO in MakeMKV, under Open->Files?
