Re: Asus BW-16D1HT Firmware
Got my BW-16D1HT today and as figured it came with 3.01 firmware. Working great ripping the Martian in 40 minutes. Mine arrived today as well and I'm impressed with the rip times, probably about 25% faster than the LG WH16NS40 I got a few weeks ago. It's been said that it's the same drive only re-b...

Re: John Wick - US Version
Man... this BR is the biggest pain in the @$$. I have a copy I got from Amazon that has the BR+DVD+Digital. I tried the 589 that others have suggested and that doesn't work. What I mean by that is that once it is ripped it will not play and if I try to transcode it with Handbreak it will not detect...

Re: 50 usd too much for me, 20 ?
Really? So for the price of two blu-rays that you should be buying if you are using this, is too much to pay the developer of a product you obviously get value from? Even if you are ripping them off, you would have to be renting them from somewhere and you would have to pay for the hard drives to st...

Re: Cinavia Protection and VLC
To directly answer your question, Cinavia has to be supported on all current Blu-ray players. It will shut down playback if the file isn't encrypted so if you were to copy your BR as an ISO with protection, Blu-ray playing software wouldn't have an issue but if you were to do so removing the encrypt...

Re: Toy Story of Terror
*sigh* Track selection for any particular title is defined in the playlist, eac3to and mediainfo simply ignore the tracks in the playlist and list all tracks in the m2ts files. Therefore, whatever tracks eac3to or mediainfo list for a title are of no consequence and don't make for a rational argume...

Re: Toy Story of Terror
Again, I did check to change it so MakeMKV didn't exclude any files by length and it didn't change anything. Also, as noted, I used EAC3To and MKVMerge to make the mkv and all audio, subtitle and track information was there as listed by those, which also matched the Blu-ray menu. So, outside of the ...

Re: Toy Story of Terror
It looks as though finding the correct tracks for a particular title may be more difficult than it seems. I'm wondering if EAC3To and MediaInfo just list all the tracks in the MT2S files and ignore the tracks listed in the playlist. I'll have to figure out a way to test that out. If you set the min...

Re: DTS-HD - DLL required for ISO files?
Thanks Romansh Is there any way to ensure the flag stays ticked by default? (the parent flag)... It's always the sub flag channel that is ticked Assuming you mean have the Lossless track selected and not the sub lossy DTS or DD 5.1 track, you have to change your 'default selection Rule' in settings...

No change with 1.9.0, still doesn't present all the audio options correctly.

Re: The Hobbit Extended Edition
If you can't visually see any scratches, smudges etc you might need to get a new drive as that one may simply be too sensitive or unable to overcome small errors.
No such issues with MakeMKV and my Hobbit Extendeds or any of the star trek seasons (Original and next gen).

Re: Trying to copy a legel downloaded movie.
As other said, not the right app.. Look to something like Handbrake for general video conversation though I do not know if they do to .mov (though not sure what the point of that would be). Note you cannot convert video without reducing quality. Also, if you do have a locally saved purchased movie f...

Re: MakeMKV Success Rate?
I know there's a few different kinds of encryption now, and I do buy recent releases on blu ray. I remember even having troubles on my blu ray player with Xmen First Class until an update was downloaded. Does MakeMKV keep up with these things too? There are only two of encryption, AACS and BD+, and...

Re: New to makeMKV
Something is wrong, whether you are doing it or not.. ;) There are no issues with 3D discs (other than the lack of playback software options) and you should almost never have failures unless you have a dirty disc or failing drive. But for Mike or anyone else to be able to help you, you need to post ...

Re: LG WH10LS30 Doesn't Not Recognize BRay Discs
Assuming you are using Windows Vista or later, it usually will be an error with the drive, connection, or driver. There is nothing you should have to do with the drive other than plug it in for it to work correctly. If it plays DVD's fine, then likely it isn't the connection but re-seating it is nev...

Re: Feature Request - Uncheck All
I've heard this so many times it gets boring and I don't want to answer anymore. RIGHT CLICK. It's MAGIC! Though that doesn't remove it from all levels of all titles. You have to right click and uncheck at the top level then go into the title you want, right click there at the level of things you d...
