Re: Movies play fine, but about 50 files are created?

Hence, YMMV... tweak the setting to suit personal requirements. It certainly helps to eliminate worthless (IMO) trailers, transition/studio clips, etc..

Re: Ripping multiple discs at once?

Check 'Options > IO > Ask for single drive mode' & you can specify a specific drive for each instance of MakeMKV.

Re: Movies play fine, but about 50 files are created?

You can avoid all the little 'extras' by setting a 'Minimum title length (seconds)' on the Options > Video tab... I set mine to '1500' & typically only get the main feature. YMMV

Re: Enabling MKV subtitles in LG webos video player

It's an issue with the player... PGS (BR) & VOBSUB (DVD) subtitles give some players heartburn... unsupported formats. Check your device manual. https://www.lg.com/uk/support/product-h ... 324-others & other Google 'hits' seem to recommend .srt subs (w/ same name as video) as the solution. This may ...

Re: Hardware Player - Any Recommendations

It might be a good idea to examine your current media to identify which codecs, specifically, your current players have an issue with. MediaInfo is a handy tool for this.

Once you know what codecs you require support for, you can now rule out player candidates without that support.

Re: forced subtitles

A single request would have sufficed. This appears to be a player (KODI) issue. Google & ~10 sec found this solution:

Re: Removing an audio track from an mkv

@FossHub 'the official download site for MKVToolNix is FossHub' is actually the only point I was attempting to make... & poorly, it would seem. The only source I've ever used.

Re: Removing an audio track from an mkv

NEVER download from that site, only download from the official site: https://www.fosshub.com/MKVToolNix.html Personally, I'd go to the author's site, because fosshub had a compromise a couple of years ago that had a number of projects infected with malware. mkvtoolnix was one of the projects affect...

Re: WH14NS40 SVC - NS50 FIRMWARE 1.03

Somewhere in this rather lengthy thread, cross-flashing the WH14NS40 NS50 drive to an ASUS FW is discussed:

Teddy Raspin seems to be the resident expert on such things, so perhaps a PM to him might help if you hit a wall.

MUST boot from a USB drive. Read 1st post carefully (even though it doesn't specifically mention your drive): http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=17058 Did the DOS boot procedure to downgrade my WH16NS40, so it should work for you. Just use the 'flash_HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_WH14NS40_1.02_NS50...

Re: The beta key valid until July 2018 does not work

I'm also thinking for a longer time about buying a license. But if you google for the company which handles the payment (avangate), you will find a lot of angry comments from people who payed for software, but never received a license key. That does not sound trustworthy and keeps me from buying a ...
