Re: Converter Subtitles

Another option... rather than conversion, some folk have found it easier to download .srt files from sources like OpenSubtitlesdotorg. Plain text, generally supported by players. Just pick from a blu-ray source & download what others have already converted. YMMV

Re: WH16NS40 Flash UHD 4k Movie Not Working

Your screen capture shows f/w 1.03, but I’m not sure if your problem might be because of 1.03. Have you tried to change to v1.02. I have the same drive and it works with 1.02. Maybe someone with more knowledge can verify this. It's Mike's patched v1.03 'MK' FW... "Firmware type: Patched (microcode ...

Mike said "It will take at least one MakeMKV version update to decrypt these" on Aug 28.

MakeMKV v1.14.5 was released on Sep 6.

Have any of the 'are we there yet?' crowd actually tried any of these discs since then?

Re: Black Hawk Down

Just got the disc an my BW-16D1HT is behaving really weirdly. I got it to open the playlists once, but then the motor on my drive got stuck at absolute max speed. Couldn't get it to copy. Now that I own the disc I have no qualms getting the "rip" through other means, so I'll just do that. Meet the ...

And I run it on Win7, because there is no usable (to me) version of Windows after that.
I wholeheartedly concur.

Re: UHD support

MakeMKV is clearly reporting a key is not available. It's a 2018 release, so one could reasonably argue that all versions have been reported, but with new discs, emailing the reported dump file to svq@makemkv.com & waiting +/- a week is SOP. You could make an undecrypted backup in the interim? There...

Re: John Wick 3

Menu bar, top left... select 'File' (left-most option) > 'Open DVD files manually' (2nd option in list) This will produce a new selection dialog listing all detected titles (including anything MakeMKV may have erroneously excluded)... ManualMode (Small).jpg Provide the # of the title you want & 'OK'...

Re: John Wick 3

Did you happen to load the link provided & read the suggestions?

Std forum advice is typically to 'clean the disc', no matter how pristine it may appear to casual inspection. If that doesn't do it, the referenced 'manual mode' is worth a try.

This should apply to the Mac version, as well?

Check 'Ask for single drive mode' under Preferences > IO tab.

Re: Looking for new optical drive recommendations

It seems to meet your stated requirements &, assuming it was manufactured after late 2015 (SVC code NS50), has the added benefit of supporting UHD (if you ever change your mind). I use it myself & have no complaints.

Followed immediately by links to all available FW packs & flash tools (~generic).

Re: Custom firmware pack with LibreDrive patches

I am really confused. I have been spending hours looking over the forums to see how I can flash my LG NS40 from FW 1.04 to 1.02. I see that folks are mentioning to use the Mikes 3.10 flasher to cross flash the drive and then install the 1.02 or 1.00 fw on it. Someone asks how to get the 3.10 app an...

Re: Registration code doesn't work?

Try copy/paste to apply the code (NO leading/trailing spaces). Typing it in by hand is just too prone to typos.
