Re: WH16NS40 Hesitation To Flash

As it’s stated in that guide, the platform must be MT1959 and the drive manufactured date late 2015 or later. Your drive platform is MT1939 and manufactured 2013. So of course it’s not a match. Can’t be clearer than that. If you flash this drive you will brick it. Buy a new drive as instructed in th...

However, keep in mind that this may not necessarily mean these features will be compatible with AnyDVD or magically unlock features while using their software. Different software, different development, different features . In short, they do not have access to the development/features to develop aga...

Re: asus BW12B1St no power after flash

@MrMuffinJr. If the Asus drive was built before 2015 and flashing it may brick the drive. it's 1.00 rn Then yes, you just bricked your drive. Same as discussed here: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=19157&p=72248&hilit=Bricked+relevant#p72248 You needed to do more research/reading...

Re: How do I actually perform the flash? - I wouldn't be asking if I haven't tried researching it first....sorry :(

okay... So I've asked this question before (setting up Libre-Drive on my Buffalo disc drive/reader) but in trying to do a "flash install" as its put, none of the files I've downloaded from the link provided are compatible with my iMac running on the latest OS. Are there Mac friendly files I can get...

Re: BH16NS55, LibreDrive Possible, not yet enabled

No drives have "Unrestricted read speed" turned on yet, at least not outside of testing. Based on the above, am I right in assuming that there aren't any firmware patches for enabling unrestricted read speed for this drive yet; or, were you simply referring to the OP's BH16NS55? Thanks! As Woodstoc...

Re: Newbie here. Which LibreDrive should I purchase to get started?

To additionally clarify a few points here: 1. “Libredrive” is not a actual drive. In very short, it's a modification/code to firmware for drives that allows this feature to be used on existing hardware drives. You can't "purchase Libredrive" physically as a PC hardware component. The developer has p...

Re: Doctor Sleep UHD

The Redbox UHD 4K disc is still not working (I know since I just re-rented it). There's no entry in the keys_hashed file that I can see. Can anybody else confirm? Are you allowing the app to download the keys automatically from MakeMKV servers as it’s detailed in the link on the second post above a...

I can confirm discs of this release/movie have been backed up both in an MKV container and full disc structure more than once. Forum search will return additional discussion regarding this release, where people have successfully ripped it and also discuss other problems. https://www.makemkv.com/foru...
