Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

The HP branded versions of these slim drives will have some funky firmware version numbers and do not appear to be supported at this time.

Hey would the person I sold a drive to that contained one of my Star Wars blu rays please speak up? I need to get that back :)

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

Yes it needs to be flashed with BU40N 1.00 which I am happy to send you. Alternatively I'll swap you a BU50N with supported firmware for yours.

The movies are almost gone and there's not a cloud in the sky so the chances of the post office being flooded out today are very slim. Very sorry about that yesterday I get to the post office at my normal 4:58pm arrival time and there's a sign up "post office closed - flooded". We get a half inch of...

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

A minor annoyance at best and certainly not a reason to pick one drive over another. Two minutes is a long time when you're just clicking check boxes come on.

What's that? Oh yeah, Julia agrees with me, total non issue!

Re: The Original "UHD Friendly Drive" Supplier @ Your Service

All inquires will be responded to as fast as I can. I've about a dozen LG WH16NS60s up for grabs priced about the same as Amazon except WITHOUT the back ordered status and WITH the correct firmware revision. I have to pay tax and shipping though so I need to pass that on to the customer, I'm sure yo...

She's not allowed to sleep, she's been awake for 4 days now.
Why am I getting a mental image of one of those gals from Full Metal Jacket "me love you long time".

Drive killer, sleep bugs, lol. I've never had a problem with Julia. Wait until all the drivers load which is an extra 20 seconds after it starts up and you're in business.

I've had a thing going with Julia for awhile now. I know she would not be hard to replace but she treats me well and does whatever I ask, whenever I ask, so she's a keeper for now :)

Re: The Original "UHD Friendly Drive" Supplier - the end is near.

A few thoughts: -Almost everyone I meet through this hobby and especially on these boards are super cool examples of human beings! -I'm old fashioned I guess and believe in the "your word is your bond" concept. -Collecting 4K UHD Blu Rays is expensive! So if you're coming to me for a drive it's assu...

Re: Heads up - Support for LG UHD drives

I apologize for my ignorance but will computers with CPUs earlier than Kabylake be able to rip UHD discs with MakeMKV? - Thanks The LG site says the WH16NS60 system requirements are Intel 7th Gen. Kabylake Core i3 or higher. https://www.lg.com/us/burners-drives/lg-WH16NS60 Yes please ignore those s...
